thats tough tho - because metallica sounds great live, and they are money grubbing corporate bastards as much as the suits that are telling top40 acts what to do.
um, scuse me? lexmark still makes the printer, and the cartridges. so how, exactly, did they not sell the printer? just because it has dells logo on it doesnt mean squat.
oh indeed. i mean, why doesnt MS just release ALL the design specs while they are at it. or perhaps you would prefer them to just admit its a PC, and ship it in a beige set-top case with all standard connections and upgradeable parts? recruiting linus for the next development team? or RMS?
please. like MS would hand over the keys to the kingdom that easily.
ever done unix development on a central cluster? thats how most everyone here does their class projects. for being able to open the file directly from the FTP/SFTP server and then save it back, i havent found anything better. not that ive been seriously looking, BBEdit kicks ass.
side note - i have a BBEdit shirt from many macworlds past, version 5 or 6 or something - and its still accurate today "BBEdit, it still doesnt suck."

only if you assume that that printer would have been a direct sale from lexmark. otherwise, it would have gone through some retailer anyway.
