Not just lootboxes, but more generally speaking almost all online gaming. Many online games rely on dice rolls to calculate the outcome of an action. Strike your opponent with a sword? A dice roll determines the amount of damage that you do. This can fall under the broader definition of "online gambling".

I'm sure they're working on fixing this problem ASAP.
"Our new iOS update is optimized to work so much better with the notched screens in our high-end iPhones. Unfortunately it gets confused and slows down to a crawl on non-notched screens. The new update will be pushed immediately to all iPhones."
Not necessarily. For instance flow batteries (of which the most promising is the vanadium redox battery) depend on the continuous movement of the electrolyte.
You haven't traveled to Europe it seems. My US credit card, chip and all, was not accepted in Italy for something as trivial as buying a train ticket, because it didn't have a PIN. Yes, credit card not debit card. I called my (US) bank and they were totally clueless on how to set a PIN on a credit card. I ended up having to go to an ATM, take out cash and use that to buy the ticket.
I never had a FB account but I have no doubt that over the years they have stolen/scrapped info about me (remember "shadow accounts"?). How do I check what info about me have they leaked?
It's a rhetorical question. I will assume that "all of it" is the answer and act accordingly. I can see how a "leak" can be used as a ploy to attract more reluctant users.

I really have nothing much negative to say about Sprint. True their coverage isn't the best and their website is very annoying but that's about it. I've been with them with over 10 years, and I have no data cap, no roaming charges and even free international roaming.
After reading the initial part of TFA I came here to write about Floating Point Gate Arrays, and found this section filled with comments about them... (disclaimer: I use Field Programmable Gate Arrays to emulate old sysyems)
Now that I think about it though, I kinda want a Floating Point Gate Array. Just think of the possibilities!:)
My daughter's assignments (public middle school) are on a website that requires flash. Cannot be used in recent Firefox builds. Flash will not go away while it's required by the public school system.
Agree with above. Chrome is a Google tool designed to gather as much information about the user as it can and deliver it to the mothership, with some front-end browser functionality. I use it at work because I have no choice, but it never touches any of my personal machines.
I'm aware of this shit happening all the time, but haven't lost all hope for mankind yet.
In the meantime, please get off my self-driving unicorn. :)
Or, you know, don't charge for a feature until you can actually deliver it. That seems a good way to avoid fuckup cleanup.
Same here. No http server on a domain doesn't mean it's unused.
Wait, not all airline customers are terrorists? Based on current and past TSA practices I wouldn't believe that's true.

Soon to come to an Amazon store near you: customized opaque stickers for various models of cars with interior cameras.
They will have to pry the V20 from my cold, dead hands. And the spare batteries too.

This clearly surpasses the XKCD 2000 phone, if nothing else then in number of cameras.

So somewhat we managed to eradicate all old curmudgeons.
Because without those, you can detect brain activity in a dead fish by fMRI.

Invest in Beano!
Welcome back Jebediah. Now get ready for the next attempt. Moar boosters this time.

Hey at least it was free (beer) :)

Or send Jebediah Kerman. He does this all the time when my space missions get stranded somewhere.

Sprint too. My Sprint LG V20 has FM unlocked. Not rooted or modified in any way, it came with FM out of the box.
