I will... suffer significant psychological damage. That's it! Psychological damage. So I would like to file this motion saying that, while another judge double-checks your homework, I should be allowed to continue beating my wife. Respectfully yours,

Yeah. I'm sure that would go well.

Doesn't Orlando have self-select back diamond lanes?

Yes. And when I flew there last week, in front of the lanes entrance there was a TSA employee directing everyone equally into allo 3 lanes, regardless of the black diamond designation. Many families with cartfulls of luggage and 3-4 kids were sent to the "expert traveler" lane.

Simple solution: once the user has racked up say, $100 in extra costs, block anything that costs extra until they pay.

Stands to reason, right? Yes, but you see they don't want to do that. They want to be able to bill you for $500, or $1000, or $17000 if you go on a texting or 1-900 calling rampage for instance.

  14. Light on World's First X-Ray Laser Goes Live · · Score: 1, Insightful

"The world's first X-ray laser (LCLS) has seen first light. A Free Electron Laser (FEL) is based on the light that is emitted by accelerated electrons when they are forced to move in a curved path. The beam then interacts with this emitted light in order to excite coherent emission (much like in a regular laser); thus producing a very short, extremely bright, bunch of coherent X-ray photons. The engineering expertise that went into this machine is phenomenal -- 'This is the most difficult light source that has ever been turned on,' said LCLS Construction Project Director John Galayda. 'It's on the boundary between the impossible and possible, and within two hours of start-up these guys had it right on.' -- and the benefits to the applied sciences from research using this light can be expected to be enormous: 'For some disciplines, this tool will be as important to the future as the microscope has been to the past.' said SLAC Director Persis Drell."

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

There is no oversight whatsoever to the whole process. They claim my coupon was mailed on 12/29/08; it never made it to my mailbox. After a few weeks I contacted the program's customer support, and I am basically SOL. There is no way they will reissue coupons if they get lost in the mail, nor are you allowed to reapply. There is no way to appeal this decision. There are internet forums full of people saying that their coupons supposedly mailed between november and december never arrived, and got the same reply I did when complaining. I suspect something wrong went on during those months, and they just won't admit it. Again, there is no recourse.

Yeah - S3 Virge/DX, the video decelerator. I still have one in a box somewhere. In action games you were better off using software rendering, as you'd get more FPS.
