I did not get a HDHomeRun despite its 2 tuners, precisely because it's networked. Networked only. If it had at least one output that would allow me to connect it directly to a TV (analog or otherwise) I would get one... but if I have to have a computer on to watch TV, it's not worth it for me. And no, price is not an issue.
Autoclave - will leave just a pile of melted plastic in place of kb+mouse.
Gamma rays - not sure of dose, but may play havoc with the electronics inside.
Ethylene oxide - yes, but how common is that? I used to work in a lab in a big university/major city and we didn't have ethylene oxide facilities. Only autoclaves.
I would suggest: seal kb and/or mouse in a plastic pouch, and use a chemical method to sterilize the outside of the pouch (bleach, etc). To change batteries, cut pouch open, put new batteries in, place in new pouch and repeat.
Yes, the license included in the package is GPLv2 (not later).
Yet before you can download the package, the Creative site makes you click through an EULA that states some very non-GPL things... (redistribution forbidden, use only on 1 computer, etc etc).
Maybe it's time someone reminded Creative they can't have it both ways.
Not to mention that, not long before they were hit with the trial, the company (Buffalo) had started openly supporting the dd-wrt project with money and hardware, and there were even rumors that dd-wrt would become the official firmware on Buffalo routers.
Reading through the Zotero docs, the procedure for importing data from Endnote involves exporting the database from within Endnote as text, then importing the text in Zotero. The last time I looked, Thomson Reuters did not hold the patent for text files.
LOL this brings to mind an article from the last issue of Wired about the Russian cosmonaut training city - apparently the Russians have experimented with sex in orbit, but because of reduced bloodflow to the lower part of the body it's not as easy as it sounds.
Mod parent up. This is likely the main reason why this project will never see the light of the day. I can't imagine a DIY vehicle getting approved over road safety.
From my experience with using Cuil for a few days, it is utterly and completely useless in its present form. Yes it's nice visually, but it's a search engine got heaven's sake - visually pleasant is nothing if the searches don't return anything useful.
They do this indeed, but the lime has a totally different role. The betel alkaloids are basic, and form esters with organic acids, In this form they are highly insoluble and very difficult to absorb. The lime reacts with the esterified alkaliods and release the alkaloid base, which is readily absorbed.
Also from TFA: "Microsoft says that, unlike Vista, every higher edition SKU will include all the features of lower editions."
Does that mean that Ultimate will incorporate the feature from the Starter Edition that only allows 3 apps to run concurrently?
It's just another genius move from Microsoft's marketing division.
As far as we all know as of today, we may all be cylons.
Easy - instead of having them buy the list, shove it down their throats for free and make damn sure you enforce it.

Please read carefully. I suggested sealing the keyboard and mouse, not the whole computer.

I'll be 39 in 2 months, and I feel like I hit the bottom, not the peak.
Also:
Dear World Bank, I hear you have an opening for a CEO.
UserFriendly had a great cartoon on this.

Makes my booze taste better? SOLD!
Seems to me they have indeed too many asshats.

...measure two inches square?
I hope that's true. I hope nVidia makes a multicore SoC including an ARM CPU and high-end GPU. Keeping my fingers crossed...
A manganese cluster is central to a plant's ability to use water, carbon dioxide and sunlight to make carbohydrates and oxygen.
Chlorophyll has magnesium as its central ion, not manganese. Probably a typo in TFA.

Mod parent up. Parachute optional.
It's probably the best choice to implement on a machine with limited resources. As a downside, it kinda funny you think makes.
I have to LOL at this. Don't use alcohol, but use hydrogen peroxide because it's milder? LOL
