Oh yeah..I don't know of any electronic equipment that doesn't have failures. That's the way it is young man, face the facts. But there's hardly "well documented" evidence of Xbox failures and you know that. You just want to sound like an idiot.

Where are your facts backing up "Generally, hardware doesn't fail within the FIRST EIGHT MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP"? I'd like to see an analysis of that one. See the paragraph above - hardware fails. Ask Playstation 1 owners about it.

I suppose you threw away the $25.00 warranty every Xbox owner received when the regular warranty expired. No wait...you probably didn't bother to fill out the registration card because then they would know who you are! GASP!!!!

Also, where's the proof of this "well documented" problem? I don't see any. Mine works very well after being used heavily since November 15.

Now, why don't you quit lying Mr. "proud owner of one"?

    • Yes that's it - PIRATE those "inexpensive-compared-to-Xbox" games....ask Dreamcast owners about that one. Rampant piracy of games was a reason why the Dreamcast died.
    • Microsoft is already losing around $100 per Xbox now....most consoles are sold at a loss you idiot. You didn't know that because your head is so far up your ass.

Whatcha gonna do when the Xbox continues to sell and you can't do a thing about it? Go cry to the government like Netscape did? WAAAA WAAAA...go suck on your bottle crybaby.

Another thing worth looking at is the graphical power of the PS2. I watched someone playing Final Fantasy X over the weekend at a Gamestop for about 5 minutes, and saw everything stutter several times in that 5 minutes. How the PS2 is going to keep up with Everquest is beyond me....

Oh yeah, basic science consists of EMPIRICAL evidence, not "conclusions based on theory", so there goes that one into the crapper.

These environment loving freaks really need to take the first shuttle off of the earth and live elsewhere, since mankind is the root of all evil when it comes to "mother earth" in their eyes (except for them of course). I hate to break it to you, but Mount Pinatubo farted out more gas in one shot than us humans did in 100 years. Where was the public outcry against that?? For God's sake, the damn government legislates enough as it is,(poorly I might add - those WTC murderer pilots just got visas) and now you want to add more to the pile. The oh-so-convienent talk about "open source wouldn't apply to this" is outright stupid and ignorant.

Why should open source be excluded from something like this? Because anyone can see the source you say. BZZZZZT! Wrong answer...again. A bug is a bug, no matter how you look at the source code. Now let's see here who would be liable for the numerous, unreported in this forum, bugs in Linux......hmm...Linus Torvalds! Why? Because he makes the decisions. Someone has to lay their ass on the line and we all know the "open source community" won't do it.

The comparison between airplanes and software is bogus too, and all those who posted that know it. I can't recall any instance where software was responsible for the death of a human being. That one is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard in my life.

Most folks on this forum would like to see Microsoft die in any way possible, including government intervention. As a matter of fact, that's the only way it could happen. And you know what? That's a BAD thing. Just wait until the government says YOU can't do something because someone else doesn't like it, then they come down on you will full force.

Just imagine if Linux was as dominant as Microsoft products are, we'd see an article a day about Linux and the coders being hounded to death about everything imaginable. You know that to be true.

You cannot legislate everything, unless you're living in a dictatorship or a communist regime. Think before you speak, it'll keep you from looking like an ass.
