You see, what redhat sells is convenience. The convenience of not having to get the latest source by hand... Not compiling every single program by hand... etc... I hope you see what I'm driving at. If you are a busy person who does not want/or has no time to mess with the guts of a system then a distro like RH would mean saved hours of unnecessary headache.
Now, this brings up the philosophical question. At what point does it cease to be the same house they built 170 years ago? Furthermore, does it cease to be the same house? Is it a new house?
I can imagine a beautiful, peaceful alien race. Free of crime, war, and violence.
Actually, THEY would probably be able to kick OUR collective asses since what they would need to gain the security of being able to have a society free of crime, war, and violence is the ability to kick anybody's ass.
A washing machine is always going to wash utensils. funny, i always thought that washing machines were for clothes; maybe i have to update the firmware on mine...
This reminds me of a probably made up story I heard a few years ago. NASA was having problems with their pens on space missions due to the zero gravity issue. They scratched their heads for a long while trying to figure out how to make pens that would function in space. They then decided to ask the Russians how their cosmonauts managed to write when they where in space. They came back with a simple answer. "Simple, comrade, we use pencils."
Hello my name is Junis and I am posting this on my Commodore 64 powered by a little bicyle outside. My father is pedalling so I can post to slashdot... He says I will have to pedal when he gets on to search for por... hmmm... world news.
