When i was working at an outsourcer in the states who handled dell calls between 99 and 2000 and one of the biggest complaints I'd often get is that "I talked to some indian guy I couldn't understand."
I'd imagine a few more years of this, and Dell will realize there's an inherent value to hiring and outsourcing customer service and tech support people from the states to help make the service calls just a little easier to understand. And not just the language, but also just small talk. It helps customers ALOT if you can engage in small talk when the machine's doing something like rebooting, or formatting. No matter how good an Indian tech worker's english is, will they understand what happened last night between the Patroits and the Bills last night?
So basically, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer?
Man. I really should consider a change in my field of study. I really couldn't handle getting out into the world after graduation and find myself either unemployed or that computing degrees suddenly become just as useful as English doctorates.
he doesn't need to work his old death schedule of programming for hours on end. if DoomIII takes it in the can, id could probably sit around and rake in the cash from selling the engine.
FF1 and FF10 have the same gameplay and similar mechanics. While FF10 has the AP and Sphere level system and FF1 has the EXP system. It's basically the same. You follow a very linear story where you beat up lots of people in your way and win in the end.
problem is when you've been gone for a few days and you're hitting delete a few dozen times.
OR you're dealing with a server that's being hammered day in and day out by spam and the only way to deal is to spend money and upgrade the server to support the same amount of legitimate emails.
well, some Japanese Anime DVD Region2(Japan that is. Not England) discs are 2 eps per disc, but they feature insanely high quality video and audio tracks.
my assertion was that if you needed to buy a book, as the parent post suggested, then it doesn't work, like Apple suggests. Check out www.apple.com/switch some time. i shouldn't be saying anything because I just got done fixing a win2k install that might turn into a FreeBSD install.
Speaking of McDonalds and Japan, the McDonalds IN Japan provide for an excellent comparison of American/Japanese work habits and ethics.
A friend of mine came back from a study period in Japan. She was beaming over the lunch special they had. It was a 1 minute challenge. They got your order an had it served to you within a minute or your money back or something like that. They always spoke in polite tones and always looked and smelled nice.
I'd like to see THAT in American fast food joints, although I did recall something about Del Taco doing something like that for a while.
But it wasn't a lightgun as much as it was a giant mouse on a stick.
So was T2.
what about the gaming console for the Gay american? the XY Box?
This sounds fine and dandy, however, where's your proof?
I'm no Apple Zealot, hell, I'm something of an apple bigot. But I'd like to see numbers that back up my prejudice.
Yeah, but what kind of framerate will this giant G5 cluster see? My Athlon at home...
(I'm kidding, I don't use an Athlon at home, I use a P3 Tualatin.)
Yeah, but someone still needs to stay behind to help the sales drones, the bean counters, and the bosses with thier machines.

"Ground, we have a problem." == "HUMILIATION!"

BULL SHIT.
If we can get a federal ban on spam then we could EASILY get those spammers in Jail.
Hello McFly, they leave thier URLs and their money needs to get to them anyway...
I'd agree with you but that Kirk show that was on the WB left a bad taste in my mouth.
30 bucks for a SharkPort vs 200 bucks+ for an imported JPs2.
Not just no.
HELL NO.
That's not the point! ;) The point is to ruin the entire story days before it happens.
WTF you talking about?

I dunno
With a rather fast cable connection and KaZaa you can beat out those geeks by days... not hours.

There's your problem.
Yeah, but can you hook up a coffee can and get 802.11x from your favorite coffee house down the interstate?
you mean
#include
int main()
{
printf("Hello world!\n");
return 0;
}
OK, techinically 6, but I don't consider the bracketing or the white space to be 'lines'...
I think MS' definition of test is, "Does it compile?"
except I own the exclusive right to #ifdef.
TIME TO SUE

the previous two posts were references to the 1998 weed movie, "Half Baked."
Yeah, I'm not paying some guy 50 cents a pop for a game...
