Why not take the majority of the spacecraft's mass from an object already outside of Earth's atmosphere? Send this asteroid-tractor into space with a big empty cargo (er, ballast?) hold, and pick up a bunch of moon (or maybe chunks of some other asteroid) once it's well beyond Earth's gravity?
Increase my bird-killing power, eh?;-) Seriously, tho - implement the windmills, and give the dead birds to the dead-animal biodiesel guy in Germany... it's win/win.
"At this stage, with patents pending, the technology behind this is very much under wraps, and was literally present at the demonstration in a 'black box.'"
Wait... I've heard this one before. Recently. $10 says there's a midget with a chess set inside that box.
You should not have to modify a reasonably modern diesel engine to run biodiesel. Volkswagon's TDI engine can run straight biodiesel (or a blend of bio and petro, which is MUCH more commonly available) straight from the factory. If they put that engine in a Cabrio from the mid to late 90s, it should burn biodiesel just fine with no mods. The hard part is finding the reasonably-priced VW TDI...
Why the delay? Broadcast it, encode it, and make it available. I should be able to see the 6p broadcast news online at 7p. If I wanted to wait until 10p, I'd watch the 10p broadcast news...
"graven image?" ;-)
$sys$woohoo... ;-)

Do they play Pink Floyd or Led Zep with this new weapon?

I'll see yer rabble rabble, and raise you one declaration of shenanigans. Clearly they spelled Bitch Mainwol's name wrong in the article.
"Do you have a lawyer that's going to tell God you weren't really using his name in vain"

This would require a non-hellbound lawyer. Please try again.
Star Wars. Han Solo, not CO2. And it was carbonite. ;-)
"The web is the OS" --> not until my BIOS gives me a "boot from google" option.

the latter identifiable by the snapping of their fingers when they approve of something, and the plucked double-bass tones they make when they walk.
let's look at those values...
A) Mineral Mining --> Excellent. So long as we don't need to get the mined product back to Earth, or anywhere else other than the moon's surface.
B) Space Observation --> Cool idea - an Earth-orbiting telescope. Like the Hubble. Except stuck to the moon.
C) Space (Moon) Station --> 4 words: "Are we there yet?" And 4 more words: "Damn. There's no Cinnabon."
D) Other --> ??profit??
"admittedly, friction isn't as important to gasses as it is to other states of matter"

It's all theoretical fun and games 'til someone's datacenter queefs.
Or voiced by Roddy McDowall?
The Plane_arium. ;-)

Nietzsche - he actually existed.
Business wules. And a wed wose. How womantic! ;-)
I thought it was "Commodore Taco."
A Catholic school claims that the interwebs are "fertile ground for sexual predators?" Something something glass houses something something stones...
You probably mean BDSM. The BSDMavens would just use the device to convert linux users.
"in general I know you can get a LOT of hydrogen out of a little water"
Roughly 2 atoms per molecule would be my guess.
Too lazy to go out and sue whatever it is that's scratching the screens...
Unless Apple advertised the screens as unscratchable, WTF kind of legal leg do plaintiffs even have to stand on?
It grits its teeth, sweats a lot, and gyrates suggestively to techno music.
