Just wanted to say that the model M is great, but it's hardly the be-all and end-all of keyboards. There are loads of great boards out there, both old and new.
There are so many types of switch, so many layouts, if you are really interested you can find the perfect keyboard for your tastes.
Using the wind for propulsion directly you are affected by things like wind direction and speed. These work with wind from any angle and generate electricity that is used to power the motors.
Gmail was a huge change for me because it was then first client with a search function that was good enough that I didn't have to organise mail any more. Lots of time saved.
At least previously you had to be stood nearby with your phone paried by Bluetooth, so you could see it moving and be liable for not stopping it if there was an accident.
The ultrasonic sensors have been shown to not be good enough to see small things like children and pets, so it's no wonder they made it that way.
Even for stuff like charging small lead acid batteries a simple boost converter is all you need.
There are devices which USB can't charge, but the vast majority of DC stuff would be fine with it. Often is fine with it as it's become a de-facto standard.
There is no step 2, it doesn't ask for your email address or phone number. All it needs is some unique ID that the TV OS supplies it.
Clearly telling people this doesn't work. It's a failed solution to the problem. What you need are proper privacy laws like the GDPR, where they have to get you to explicitly opt-in to all the data sharing separately from anything else and state in clear language what they intend to do.
The court's default position is to give a lot of weight to the word of police officers. Worse still, that weight seems to be given to police staff who are not officers, such as the people who operate the speed cameras.
More than that, the judiciary as a whole is supportive of this. It not only makes it very difficult for individuals to prove their innocence when confronted with the word of a police employee (which is taken to meet the standard of "beyond a reasonable doubt"), but it also makes it extremely difficult to prosecute the police. They can literally get away with murder.
We see the same resistance to fairness from the judiciary over and over again when evidence is found exonerating convicted criminals.
The wall plates are not really supposed to replace dedicated chargers for things that need very high current. They are supposed to make it convenient to supply an amp or so to all the random battery powered devices you have that need periodic charging.
I have a load of 1A chargers around because the only thing I really need to fast charge is my phone, and then only very rarely. In fact it's better to charge at 1A most of the time because charging at 3A wears the battery out faster, and doing it regularly adds up.
Note how that tiny Apple charger is limited to 5W, or 1A. Samsung chargers put out 3x that much power to charge your phone more rapidly.
And in fact Apple do make higher power ones, especially for devices like iPads that would take forever to charge at 1A. An iPad Pro would take about 15 hours to charge at 1A, maybe more.
The thing they have in common is that they are using the system to benefit themselves, and punishing people who try to change the system to be fairer to the majority. Right/left, capitalist/communist, those are just the means that worked for them at the time.
You are lucky in the US, you actually have the option to stream most stuff. Outside the US a lot of titles are simply unavailable.
Also, you forgot option 3. Subscribe to a VPN and pirate stuff you can't stream. VPN is about $5/month, and the selection is excellent although some older obscure titles do sometimes go unseeded.
There are two main issues with Netflix, neither of that all that bad really.
The selection of 3rd party stuff has decreased over the years, especially movies. The licences expire and they all have their own streaming services now, so those titles vanish from Netflix. It's quite frustrating but not really Netflix's fault. The solution is to ignore other streaming services until they go out of business and give Netflix a new licence.
The second problem is DRM. Netflix uses DRM in a futile attempt to protect its video streams, which always appear on The Pirate Bay within an hour or two of being posted to Netflix. The DRM results in poor video quality on many devices because Netflix limits them to 480p. It also limits your ability to download and watch stuff why flying etc.
Overall I'm reasonably happy with Netflix and subscribe from time to time, when there is stuff I want to watch.
I'm happy with enough money to be comfortable if the job is interesting and the working conditions are good. My goal is to be happy and fulfilled, not rich.
Or better still let's all just standardize on USB for DC power. The EU has already mandated it for phones and the like, and really most stuff that needs DC power could be using USB.
With USB3.0 you can get up to 20V and 100W total so even things like laptops or devices that need 12V can be USB powered now. The connectors are small, the cables are cheap, you can get wall outlets with them built in, cars have them, airplanes have them, USB power banks are already popular...
USB should be the de-facto standard for all DC devices unless they have a very good reason to use something else.
The Samsung charger he complains about in TFA has the same feature. It's pretty common on USB chargers now, not least because it's cheaper to make a universal voltage 3A/5V charger and then supply each country with the right adapter for local sockets.
Thing is, I'm Gen X, and I'm finding that there is more opportunity than when I was younger. My skills and experience are in demand, even at higher salaries.
That's because the story is actually that Vote Leave admitted to it ahead of publication of the report. When the report comes out there will doubtless be more coverage of what the report says and any action taken over it. Sadly I doubt there will be any real punishment or redress for this.
I think Vote Leave actually screwed up here by jumping the gun. They made the top headlines today, first item on the Radio 4 news, and when the actual report comes out they probably will again.
Kuenssberg is annoying but no more so than any other news programme. Humphries is more of a problem, he really needs to go.

Or if not the Unicomp models are great.

Wait, Slashdot has DMs??
Often new features are there to sell the new version. Desktop software has to keep selling new versions, but web apps are typically free.
Having said that I bet there is plenty of work being done on the back end to analyse data and make more money from ads.
Don't let the fact that they said it was a mistake get in the way if a good rant, eh...
It's just the result of them using algorithms because there is too much material for humans to review. It's a non story.
Teslas are not antonymous cars. They use parking sensors to auto-park with the user standing near by to make sure they don't crash.

A decent amount of power for what? What common devices are we talking about here?
Laptops have already moved to USB PD. What other high power DC devices warrant replacing USB with something else?
Too low a voltage for what?

Ah right, I've noticed that Bloomberg prints a lot of bullshit about renewable energy.

You could interpret that "when" as meaning "once it enters supersonic flight". Maybe there is less room for interpretation in American English.
Er... Nope.
Zero days this year of no wind power in the UK: http://www.ref.org.uk/fuel/ind...
Zero days of no wind power last month and last year in the UK: http://gridwatch.co.uk/Renewab...
That's just the UK, the wider EU is even larger. Where do you read this nonsense?
