I think the Russian word for it is "vranyo" - The speaker, Joe Green in this case, is lying, we know he is lying, he knows that we know, yet he continues to lie.
There are certainly some very intelligent and competent techies are from overseas, but that does not describe most of them.
Y...if you are on Windows, but if you are on Windows the CNNIC certificate is probably not the most significant of your security worries...:)
Agreed.
BTW, the CNNIC cert is not included in the Firefox 3.6 package in PCLinuxOS. "Government Root Certificate Authority" (Taiwan) is included (despite a more sinister name) and a few other foreign companies are, but none are to be seen from CNNIC.
While a supervolcano explosion would kill hundreds of millions of people, mostly indirectly, it doesn't take such a large eruption to rain on the earth's parade.
A Tambora- or Taupo-sized eruption would lower temperatures a few degrees causing famine in the developing world for years and killing millions.
Colodrado is a clear Rebublican state...A bill like this could only pass in truely contested states. In a state, like Colorado, where one party dominates its against their best interest to let this go through.
I agree with you that this is a mostly Republican state, but how many of those Republicans are going to vote this year is less clear. From what I've seen, there are quite a few fed-up Republicans actively working on the Kerry campaign, at least in the Denver metro area. They include the people you'd expect to be and vote Republican: bankers, real estate professionals, etc. Plus, CO has a lot of refugees from California. Travel down the highway and for every pro-Bush/Cheney bumper sticker, you see 10 anti-Bush stickers.
I, too, am a vehemently independent voter and I embrace the idea of proportional electoral votes. I even signed the petition. But, I only think it's effective if all states distribute electoral votes proportionally.
Which would be fine if we still thought of ourselves as Pennsylvanians, Ohioans, or New Yorkers. But, we most identify ourselves on a national scale as Americans.
Our voting system needs to evolve to reflect the society which we have become.
I, too, was looking for a keyboard/mouse emulator for a machine that's being housed in a colo facility. I'm using PS2 components, as well, and cringe at the thought of plugging and unplugging PS2 devices into a running machine.
Then, I strolled into CompUSA and saw this Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo. The PS2 connectors stay plugged into the machine and the (nice, UFO-shaped, blinking-light) receiver stays duct-taped to the top of the machine.
All I need to do is remember to take the keyboard and mouse along with me to the colo facility when I need to make a personal visit.
...it seems like in the U.S alot have been focused on military and military research last few years...
For a fraction of the cost of a weapon system - the F-22 perhaps, or an aircraft carrier - I think that we'd be able to devise the machinery and methods to turn out a widget in the US at far less cost and far greater quality than any factory in China.
For another fraction of that weapon system, we could:
Fund a long-term PR campaign that makes teaching as a profession desirable again
Fund a long-term PR campaign that makes success in school something to which students aspire
Fund a "trade school" educational track for those students who cannot and will not be successful in the traditional education system
Raises the pay of teachers to a respectable level
Halve (or more) the cost of secondary education by increasing grants, scholarships, etc
It's pie-in-the-sky speculation and will never happen. The US does not have the political will to affect the necessary changes to make it happen.
Hmmmm...sounds like Musicmatch. The MM Jukebox is a fabulous piece of software, but the company never ceases to try to extract money in underhanded...well, we'll say "ethically challenged"...ways.
...nobody, except the French. A reminder that Jerry Springer is popular in France, too.

I think the electronics in the Copperhead anti-tank round are built to handle 7000 Gs, according to what I read long ago.
I think it's because sites powered by (or "encumbered by") IIS are "optimized" for Internet Explorer: http://grotto11.com/blog/slash.html?+1039831658
Definitely Bawls...
It tastes good, comes in a pretty, decorative blue bottle, and the name can inspire an endless stream of juvenile humor.
Plus, mixed with orange juice, tastes just like a mimosa.
I have NO idea if it actually "works."
No?
Bad name, good search results:
Clusty, aka, Vivisimo: http://clusty.com/
This one has succeeded when Google has failed.
All that and brains, too.
That is my recollection, too, that the AOL-ers arrived sometime in 1992.
What's strange, however, is that the National Barking Spider Resurgence Party is not even mentioned.

Mix it at a 50/50 ratio? Hmmmm...I'll have to try it.
People used to turn away in disgust when I told them that I put tuna in beef-flavored Rice-a-Roni.
Agreed.
There's plenty I still can't do - well, haven't bothered to learn - in Graffiti 2.

I agree. Like "Steel City Linux" or "Linux of Champions"...maybe Monongahela Linux
Or, just Martha Stewart's cellmate for a day.
I always thought that water vapor - the main byproduct of combusting hydrogen - is one of the strongest greenhouse gases.
It affects WinNT 4.0, so it may actually be as long as 7 years.
Actually, there's no better way to piss off an American than to give him Canadian currency as change.
I don't regret not buying it, either. I regret selling the freakin' crapload of shares I had before it took off.
