MBAs are taught that they can manage anything using metrics and spreadsheets, and that they need no knowledge of the actual business processes they're managing
Can someone with an MBA comment on whether or not this is true?
So, do you buy an i7-8700k now and put it on a z370, knowing that you might be missing out on some new features in 2018, like bluetooth 5 and wifi ac being built into the chipset itself?
Yes. Dongles are cheap and effective.
Honestly, I think the best thing to do, if you're capable is to stop reading the news about this stuff and just buy what's best when you need a new machine.
Builders that lean towards AMD upgrade their cpu's
Have you? I had a Phenom II on AM3 and kind of wanted an upgrade. No option for that since the FX line used AM3+. But hey, if I bought a brand new system with an AM3+ mobo at least I could downgrade to a shitty Phenom! This just the nature of technology.
AMD's new Zen CPU, on the other hnad, literally slaughters the current Intel competition in all key metrics.
Except single core performance, which I'd say is a pretty big key metric (especially for gamers). Honestly I don't understand why people are being so blinded by Ryzen. Competition is great, but let's not start a cult here. Ryzen does have great multicore performance. It "slaughters" intel in low-end workstation builds, which I'm sure a lot of professionals trying to save a buck can appreciate.
And since the beginning of time children have suffered (and died) due to extreme poverty. This is similar to an overpopulation of any animal. Some will starve, and evolution doesn't care. If we want a better society we need to move passed just what's absolutely necessary for our evolution (being driven by emotion) into what's best us personally and for society (planning). We can do it, but the family referenced in this story is not helping.
I just updated to a 7th gen i5 and had this problem on my 8.1 system. There's a manual update solution though luckily. Honestly if I had known about this I probably would have updated this way all the time. The built in updater sucks.
Why does it matter how old it is? I'm comparing boards with AM4 sockets to LGA 1151 sockets. The Z270 is the newest, top of line board. Of course it's more expensive, but you don't need that to run the latest intel chips.
Notsure where you're getting that. I loved my Phenom II when it came out, but other than increased competition I'm not sure where all this Ryzen hype is coming from.
For the desktop/gaming user, I'm not actually convinced of their price vs performance. Userbenchmark has the Ryzen series at a pretty big disadvantage given the high prices compared with similarly performing intel CPUs. They seem to only be the clear winner when it comes to massively parallel multi-threaded applications.
Yeah they tried this and didn't work, so they ripped out all the money dispensing machines that no one used. Or maybe there's still some efficiency to be gained without completely eliminating people?
No he's just influenced by his own corporation and everyone they do business with including the Russian government. How is that better?
Also the kind of jobs you describe don't really increase the quality of life for the one employed. Those are shit jobs. We need to be investing in the skills required to do work that makes us competitive globally.
Objectively, your list is hardly one of real accomplishments. Appointing judges is just fulfilling his responsibility to choose who's appointed. "Relaxing regulations" is basically just saying "yeah go do what you want". Your list of "pushing for" is again just not standing in the way of the status quo. "Getting out of" international agreements is just a statement of "doing nothing".
In short, he's "accomplished" his goal of having the government do absolutely nothing. His supporters will be pleased.
Their phone is overpriced. Doesn't matter how sleek it is. If anyone has a shot at disrupting Samsung it's OnePlus. I think one of the biggest reasons Samsung has done so well is that they basically throw every existing technology/feature on their phones as well as anything new they can come up with that somebody, somewhere might like. It's apparently what people want (which kind of makes sense), and a pogo connector isn't going to disrupt that if doesn't come with the other 30 things that people expect these days.
Maybe I don't understand their problem exactly, but I'm not sure why they couldn't create separate git repos to be synced with the already available submodules or subtrees within git.
You're comparing a 32GB module with a 1TB module. Think about 30 of those optane modules in RAID0. That's basically what they do with SSD modules at higher storage sizes, so you're just giving the Samsung SSD the RAID0 benefit. Granted the optane technology is more expensive, but it *is* faster.
I upgraded from a dual core Athon II to a hexa core Phenom II.
Wasn't the Phenom II available at the same time as the Athlon II? Maybe you just bought the wrong CPU to begin with.

I agree completely.

That's actually not all that surprising. The GTX 1080 is rated at 180 Watts.

Since then HBO has a $15 streaming service that doesn't require a cable subscription.
What service is that? You can't even login to HBO GO without giving them your cable provider.

Maybe Ubuntu isn't as bad as the vocal minority keeps telling us it is?

I would expect the margins are thin enough that they need an extreme amount of sales per store to keep things running.
I can see "laptops" that are just a screen, a keyboard, a humongous battery and a dock bay for your phone.
Meet the superbook

Jesus man why? Did you actually agree with the Iraq war? If so, I hope you don't still.
Google has already supposedly "solved" this with their HAL

Good thing too since they still haven't released Xposed for Nougat.
I have no problem with a touchscreen on a laptop as long as I'm not forced to use it.
I do. It requires a glossy, reflective display.
