As robots, it's easy to imagine they were quite sympathetic to David. He had a program that couldn't be fulfilled. Out of compassion, they found a creative way to fulfill his program.
Huh? Robots? I always thought those beings were aliens...
(Interestingly, it's canon that R2D2 has some Force sensitivity. Not a lot, but he's the only droid ever to feel the Force --- it's not supposed to be possible.)
What, they want to bring those things back? I threw mine away with glee when I first got my optical mouse. There is no way in hell Ill be using one again just for some wireless convenience.
In my opinion, I welcome the extra steps that are required to use Shutdown inside the GUI. I REALLY dont want it to be so accesible that I would end up hitting it by mistake.
There is. Its called the power button. Its right there, usually in the front of your case.
Its not like its rocket science people. Press it to turn it on, press it later again to turn the it off. People have been doing the same thing with their tv's, for example, for ages now.
It's similar to when somebody's heart stops for more than a few minutes and they end up brain-damaged from oxygen starvation - their brain still physically exists as it always did, but it no longer works properly.
You said it yourself. The brain is damaged. It no longer is physically as it was before it was damaged, therefore, of course it doesnt work properly anymore.
ships size of corvette or bigger never land on planets, transport shuttles are used for that, but almost every time a landing is shown, we see thrusters of a 'rebel' corvette
And dont forget the ship was split in half. They lost basically all engines and those flaps they deployed, so I dont see what if any control they had after that anyways. Landing that thing was an outright "miracle".
But given that Jedi can parry gunfire with their lightsabres (neat trick, that - how do you practice?) and are trained enough that "ease of use" isn't a factor... the lightsabre starts to look pretty good.
Didn't you see the original movie? That was one of the first lessons Luke got from Obi Wan, parrying the low power shots from a floating drone aboard the Millenium Falcon, if I remember well.
Characters can often be some type of priest serving a god who, in turn, provides that character with magical abilities like healing or protection. This could be uncomfortable for some families.
That irks me. Im a christian msyelf, but I dont see much difference from that (the quote) to apostoles and prophets performing miracles in the Bible.
...give people lots of free content when they can sell them expansions. I'm not trying to troll or anything, I just thought thats how the market is these days...
Yes, they darken the sky, dont ask me HOW, basically dooming themselves in the process. Really, what was the point. May as well blow up the damn planet and get it over with!
Yes, but those dead animals werent raised by eating the remains of other dead animals in a closed environment. Predators eat herbivores and herbivores eat plants, which feed from the earth and the sun. There's a "flow" of energy there, which I dont think exists when humans just eat another human that ate another human, so and so, without at least one of them eat a source of nutrients other than another dead human.
By living, you use up the things that you eat. If we didnt, then what would be the need for eating.
Exactly. Im no expert, but I assume humans conmsume such nutrients in a way that they are just gone, used, so they would need to be replaced from other sources.
I wonder if that would even work out in the first place. Can you really just feed a human being by using the corpse of the another human being, then feed the another one when he dies, etc etc, without ever feeding one with real nutrients.
Wouldnt you lose those nutrients that were used by that person?

I really love that ATX power button.
I would use OSX, if it would run on my PC. Oh, it doesnt? Well, thats too bad then.

If they confirmed exclusivity for the PS3, then the Revolution is out of the question too, no?
Until you do, you're up shit creek. And when you find out what it is, you'll realize that it can be neither copied, nor created, nor destroyed.
By your same argument, there is no way you can know that.

They are developing a game for free? Why? That doesnt make sense to me...

No. Care to provide information?

Yes but that would be a problem for the machines, no? Pretty soon, I bet, the humans would die too quickly too be of any use.

I think what you are talking about is called slipstreaming.
I applaud you, sir. That was the most insightful post about this issue that Ive seen here on /.
Too bad I don' have mod points...
You could always grab an emulator, the original old school rom and the patch for it in english.
Thank you very much.
There are more than two parties? I don't live in the USA, so I wonder which are these?
