    this has been going on for years now.

    my son is three, he can remember things from when he was 6 months old.

    i try to re-enforce those memories so they last a long time, he can rant on about the memories constantly.

    he surprises other two, if he hasn't seen someone in 6 months, he can tell them where he saw them and everything. i reinforce what he reinforces also.

    i think he'll thank me later in life.

    umm...

    since spammers and advertisers always stay one step ahead of technology, shouldn't users register to get in?

    i know there's a few spam artists out there i'd like to keep out. any open source software or ideas they come up with and speak about may be directly spoken to the enemy.

    granted, this is worst case scenerio, but oh well

    yes but i think every wreck has to be considered on a case to case basis, obviously a 10 year old wreck is diffrent than a 100 year old wreck.

    how many people are still getting things in the titanic? i think that there are rightful owners, but those owners can't really go down there for themselves.

    also, who 'owns' the river/ocean? so if i ever wanted to put something into 'longterm storage' i could just dump it in the water? fun fun

    and please, with the viper analogy, how is that even remotely similar to this?

    i think this is more in terms of finding a $100 bill on the street, dated from 1950. with no claims on record since then.

    they don't want to publish the areas of the shipwrecks, but anyone with the money or power to go dig up ships has some ethics in them.

    also, who is to say these ships now 'belong' to the state of NY ? i never understood that, it should be finders keepers.

    Would you rather have a few innocents locked up and deter a number of crimes, or would you rather have no innocents harmed and not deter any?

    a good analogy would be the death penalty... Barry Scheck's (sp?) innocence project has released many death row inmates with DNA evidence that proves their innocence...

    but my fealing is, if 12 people think i'm guilty, i'm guilty... if one cop thinks i'm guilty, i'm not. and if the media gets involved, forget about it, all bets are off.

    i don't mind the way i was treated, i would of done the same thing... and what they did was justified, i'm not about to sue them for wrongful arrest, etc, as it was a honest mistake.

    the patriot act is even more funny, as 'freedom of speech' minus death threats to the president has now become minus death threats and any other terrorist-like activity. Praise be to allah. (oh wait, that's also in the first amendment)

    the ironic point would be, if i were on death row, my fealings would change, as would anyone here.

    what if you were on the child molester list? how would you feal then? even if you were innocent?

    there's a child molester in a neighboring state with the same name as me.

    there was a warrent out for his arrest, long story short, the cop didn't believe that i wasn't him. fun night.

    anyway, if someone was to look me up on google, they would find a sexual predator? great. gotta love free information.

    i'm all for megan's law ... just not against the 'victims' of it. the internet can be a useful tool, and a horrible device.

    my own pop up blocker, from earthlink (for free, from them) for earthlink users:

    all i had to do was hit the 'off' button, and refresh

    worked out well, they have truely foiled my browsing popup blocking program...

    what will i do now?

    people with tivo are also theives,and people getting up during commercials are also thieves.

    next up, parents who don't buy the candy at the supermarket checkouts, and kids who don't hit every 'try my, squeeze my hand' tickle me elmo's at the toy store.

    we need something like the automobile industry's recall system, but it's too bad nobody tunrs in those registration cards...

    hard drives are so important, they should be the most quality product of a computer... you can replace a cpu, motherboard, etc... but without backing up, you can't get everything on a hard drive back.

    he's only rich in net worth, aka, in his lil pieces of paper that say, you own too much m$ stock @ $50 a share... if investor confidence tanks, he tanks... he knows this, he isn't stupid, at least give the monopoligizing arsehole that, he IS smart.

    why? any normal economical theory is void becuase of his SIXTY BILLION DOLLAR net worth... even in liquid assets, he doesn't have to have 'cash for a rainy day when he has a few hundred million in the bank.

    anyone remember the superbowl commercial, 30 second long commercial... the first 25 seconds was a busy signal... i forget the message at the end, but it was something like, hate waiting for busy signals? try isp.

    aol kicked their busy signals, but it took them at least a year.

    with internet knowledge growing, 'yeah my friend got cable and he helped me put my cable modem in' aol may not be able to fix this problem soon enough...

    and as someone else said, banning *.aol.com from servers won't be as useful anymore.

    making DeCSS so piracy can run rampant (but has a legit excuse to run dvd's on linux) is fine

    'stealing' something that wasn't going to be bought anyway = bad. how many people actually were going to buy doom as the disks went everywhere? how many LEGIT people bought doom so they could have their own copy. this also goes into (audio) cd sales... nobody translates the logic though.

    score -1, truth troll.
