Even if you do not offer them anything, as long as something is considered as trendy, these sheeples will be more than happy to give up their privacy willingly
Stargate Universe was excellent too. What seems odd is that shows that are consistently great from the very start always get cancelled early on, like SGU and Firefly, but shows which are campy cheezefests in the early days and take a good season or two to get going (TNG, Farscape, B5) somehow get renewed.
I certainly wouldn't consider the examples like B5 and farscape "cheesy" And I'm really surprised you dissed TNG.. Anyways , in answer to your comment, they were signed up for multi year terms, like many other shows, especially if the producer has a solid track record. TNG's producers certainly had that. B5 was signed for the entire run of 5 seasons, after it was intentionally closed. Not cancelled, because there was no more to it. The only one that was cancelled was the B5 spinoff Crusade, a real shame, but it was apparently too slick i.e. not enough "action" for the average plebe..:sigh:
School > Bars > Halls > Your mom has heard of them > Greatest Hits released > Stadiums > She likes them > Lamer than Lame Jock McLame.
Not quite. After halls it's not "heard of them" but "your mom *hates* them" THEN stadiums, THEN "Greatest Hits". Everybody knows that a "greatest hits" album signifies the death of "cool" for the band;-) - i.e. loss of "underground" status. After "Greatest hits" THEN it's "your mom likes them".. After which , really, instead of "lamer than whatever" it's "the $0.99 bins" - a MONTH after release !
America is the hands down winner in the propoganda wars. you'll have to admit. No country in recorded history has had as much time to indoctrinater it's citizens so powerfully. Even the former Soviet Union is a distant second. And it's Soo easy to recognize someone who's been brainwashed. Knee jerk reactions using stock phrases to replace critical thinking.. such as "they're just commies" or "they hate us because they're just jealous of our freedom" or "if they don't have our idea of 'democracy' they're just dictators". Perhaps the reason americans submit to religious cults so easily is because they've already been conditioned into brainwashing all their lives at home and in school...
Fiorina couldn't lead lemmings to a cliff. Given the two bad alternatives, I'd have to choose Trump.
Actually, I am concerned that, in fact, she COULD lead lemmings to a cliff, while behaving like a disney nature show producer herself. And, unfortunately, the American electorate is full of lemmings who most certainly are likely to get pushed off the cliff, if they elect her..
I personally believe that the Timothy are unable to do so because, uh, some, uh, people out there in our nation don't have spellcheck and, uh, I believe that our education like such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and, I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., uh, or, uh, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future for our children.
I've clearly been on the internet too long. I understood that.. (!)
Moms have known for just YEARS how to get kids to eat their veggies. It's called melted CHEESE! I can't believe they actrually had a research project on this. Shortage of quarks to study, suddenly? sheesh...
So long as it is a lawful and just warrant then I've no problem with this. I used to be able to say that most libertarians aren't crackpots. Such is no longer true. Today, they're mostly Ayn Rand worshiping Republicans who are too ashamed to admit they're neoconservatives and have opted to co-opt the moniker in hopes that nobody notices. It's our fault for not speaking up against them.
I think you should be able to encrypt all you want and that they should be able to get a warrant to try to break that encryption but that you needn't help them to do so. They can have my mangled and unreadable data if they want it. With enough time and money they're allowed to decrypt it too. I can't wait until they do and find out that it's all just a bunch of saved pictures of lolcats and the occasional lolrus.
pleaz to no decrypt my bukkit! my encypted bukkit!!! nooo!!!
No, really. No lolcats but I do have a few lolrus pics saved. For some reason he amuses the hell out of me.
Wuzza "Lolrus"; "googookatchoo". Same as "I am the Lolcat; yakyakachat" ? No?
Byzantine: As relating to the Byzantine or the Apple Empire: Generally ruled by the Pope.. or other Autocratic leaders, such as Tim Cook: Conversely: of, relating to, or having the characteristics of a style of architecture developed in the Byzantine Empire especially in the fifth and sixth centuries featuring the dome carried on pendentives over a square and incrustation with marble veneering and with colored mosaics on grounds of gold. Take your pick. Personally, I'll go with the "Autocratic leaders like the Pope or Tim Cook", myself....
Come on, it's not bad karma. It.s because these commentators are ex jocks themselves, who probably graduated on an athletic scholarship.. but don't have the brains to pass a grade 2 spelling bee. They're just too thick to tell the difference. Probably before Bill Gates returned to M$.. He would never have inked a deal requiring the intelligent participation of ex NFL players
It's a little unclear to me why they would even make an app like this.. It's not like it's just switching OS's.. you have to actually replace your phone, too. It's just, essentially, then, nothing more than nagware.

As mass surveillance is exclusively done in totalitarian states, it is pretty clear there is a strong faction on government that wants this very much. This also means that to any citizen there is no sane way to be for mass-surveillance.
But hey, Hitler got cheered into office. The masses are stupid.
Seems to me this could be shortened a bit.. "As mass surveillance is exclusively done in totalitarian states, it is pretty clear that we must live in a totalitarian state"
It's taught now in every university worthy of the top 1% donor club. Since they dom't want to lose their support from the bildenburgs etc.. they keep tesaching Neo-classical economics. A fraud and hoax in every conceivable way, but one which soothes the consciences of all top one-percenters...

Hey look, I have already got chest pains. Making me laugh so hard is both unfair and cruel. I thinkl the late Mr Zappa has serious competition in the whole "Zappa-esque" humor category... You win the top cookie for today!
Before the Beatles and The stones, where Allen Klein suddenly changed from a musician raper to a "record breaking deal maker"..although, oddly enough, the artists saw no more out of these new deals than the old R&B acts he "represented" previously.. However, until then, you made a record to promote yourself. And, basically, to pay back the indentured sevitude you entered into when you signed a deal with any of the majors such as RCA, Warner or Atlantic. The smaller labels such as King RPM, or others like them usually spent so little on the band and on the studio "Hey you got 3 hours.. don't screw it up"... that they had to engage in creative accounting to show how much the artists "overspent". Records were certainly not made "for the money". You got paid from touring. Why do you think B.B. did 360 shows in a year back then?
I'm having a real problem lately, not just with google, but even with VPN extensions. None suddenly work. Not one. I just get "unable to connect to VPN server". If I use a web based VPN server it doen't work either. I haven't been able to find anyone else complaining on the web about it though.. Is it because I'm in Canada? There's some alternative news websites that I can't access without a VPN vbecause Canada blocks them, it's not even for bypassing video restrictions.. so it sux...
Unless Congress gets flushed good and hard, that statement [that change can be effected by a President] is highly unlikely.
Are you joking? If we have learned ANYTHING from the last 8 years (and I have my doubts that "we" have, if "we" means the imbecile electorate), it is that Congress couldn't stop a wet paper bag if the President threw it at them. President Obama has changed plenty. The ACA is just one of the changes he brought, massive as it is. Anything he HASN'T changed, and there is plenty (closing Gitmo as a lock-up facility (so far, but stay tuned), reigning in DHS and TSA and NSA, etc, etc) are things he either doesn't really oppose, or is unwilling to make a big enough effort.
Congress could go home tomorrow and stay there forever for all the effect they have on anything. The USA has finally finished transforming itself from a Republic into a dictatorship of the executive - minus (so far) throwing away the show of the Presidential elections every 4 years.
OK, perhaps he should have qualified that by saying if there's any POSITIVE changes not supported by the invisible power structure. Sure, Obama has changed plenty.. for THE WORSE. If, for instance, he had wanted tor reinstate the constitutional changes that Bush had first tampered with, instead of completely stripping them, he would never have been able to. Or, the same, in fact, if he had tried to implement even one of his original campaign promises from 2008.
Ah, we see how people dive in to defend the establishment by likening an anti-establishment candidate to the Nazis.
Trump and Sanders have the most important thing in common: they'll actually change something if elected. And at this point, even random change is very likely to be for the better Both of them are leading in the primary polls as well, which is a great sign that voters finally want real change, not just for their team to win the big game.
Trump and Sanders will do precisely NOTHING if elected. If there's any serious chance they will, they'll get the same support John and Bobby Kennedy did..
I uploaded the first episode of the "world at war" that I'm pretty sure I got from archive.org , as a reminder of what started WW2, now that we're entering WW3 on the same trumped up and flimsy evidence. Within 5 minutes I was already served with a notice and my video blocked, despite the fact that the episode had been online for 15 years elsewhere and it has apparently been given the all clear as available. Seems it has been re-copyrighted and they want nobody to see it. It's only the first episode I had trouble with, the one that explains how everybody in Germany got suckered into changing that country from democracy into dictatorship .
