    50 kw per hour is 36 megawatts a month.

    I don't think that math means what you think it means. That means 36 MWh / month. 3600 KWh / month.

    If I leave on a space heater, that's 1.5KWh / h = 1080KHh / month. So 36 people could run their space heaters.

    A small town needs a power plant capable of 36MW. Not 36MHw / month.

    there's no way that that is fair use, regardless of transformative.

    Transformative doesn't mean you don't need the originial copyright holder's permission. Only fair use does.

    Seems like it would be hard to do it unintentionally.

    Intel has pulled an advertising campaign from video gaming website Gamasutra after it reportedly received a number of complaints from self-identified gamers upset that the site was championing fair gender representation in video games.

    Wow, could this have been written to represent one side any more strongly?

    I'm guessing its' tough to tell because it's not nearly such a big event. With your choice of a bazillion different models, each with some feature the others don't have, the amount of people excited about any particular one will be significantly lower.

    Part of kickstarter should be that you've already taken a substantive risk on your own. Making a game demo with, for example, limited level/playtime is a good mark that you are capable of producing the rest.

    Since there is no recourse once the funding takes place for funders, this doesn't seem unreasonable.

    doesn't mean you should.

    Thinking that any Linux distro, just because it could be run in both environments, should be developed to be suitable for both seems wrong.

    Why not just pick a desktop-oriented existing distro for your desktop and a server-focused one for your production environment?

    And if you need to develop on your server environment, then this doesn't really matter to you, since you have to pick what's best for your production environment regardless of your desktop.
