Thats exactly what I did when I saw this news. At least with Ice + Fire, I have a sense the story is actually heading somewhere. Now, If he could just finish Dance...
I'm quite sure I just read an article about kids building a Soylent Green Fueled Sports Car. I mean, who told them about Soylent Green in the first place?
Yeah, I certainly remember having a problem finding a PSP in time for xmas. They decided to screw me over by releasing it 4 months after xmas. Oh, wait... did you mean xmas 2005? I don't think I'll have a problem finding one for this year, so i guess you're right.
There's been much talk of the declining video game market. Especially from the folks at Nintendo. Until now their plans for expanding the market have been just talk. With the revolution controller revealed, It looks like Nintendo may just be able to snag the "mother/grandparent/people-that-don't-play-FPS-gam es" market.
Could this marketing campaign just be a result of Microsoft's recognition of this threat from Nintendo?
OK, so they put Starcraft right by the top. I'm for that. The game still holds appeal for me today whenever I manage to tear myself away from WoW. My only question, did anyone at CNet every play the game?
The gameplay itself was so addictive that players often played the game through three times just to experience it from the perspective of all three races.
I seem to recall a storyline formula in both the original and the expansion that required playing all 3 races on one playthrough.
omg. L.O.R.D sucked up all my time back in high school. It limited you to the number of turns you could take each day, but when every BBS in the area code is running it... I forced my parents to upgrade their phone service after They realized their original plan considered towns 20 miles away long distance.:-D
Now what I want to see is a setup with an iSight mounted to the back of the montors with a nice wide angle lens attached.
Use some nice altivec magic to transform that realtime image and then make that the desktop background. Only then will I be satisfied that I have a "transparent" desktop.
My god. You were far to young for that sort of thing in 1988. It must have severely warped your fragile mind. At least When I played these games in 1988, I was much older and better able to cope with their deprave influences.
And your warning to the poster that the FBI is on the way constitutes a violation of the Patriot Act. I suggest you hide your fertilizer and mp3s before they knock on/down your door.
I worked in an internet cafe back when Sprint rolled out their PCS system. They came by, set up a booth in our store and gave all us Cyberguides training on how to sell the phones. They also left us a nice working phone with no restictions on calling.
I read this book a while back and IIRC the genious computer programmer character has some sort of revelation at the end that inviolved binary. Like, "I see now, these are all powers of 2!" Is it just me or shouldn't that be the first thing she noted about whatever system it was?
Like I said, it's been a while since I read the book and it didn't exactly stick with me.
When I was in school, I was buying a couple of CDs a week from used music shops. Later I kept on buying CDs whenever I felt bored and wanted something new. Probably about once a week I'd shell out for a new disc at full price. I stopped when it go to where i couldn't find a new CD for less than $18-$19. It's been at least 6 months since i aquired any new music. I think in October I'll probably end up getting back into my old habits.
Where in this did he contact Intel about his intentions? From what you write here it sounds like their internal security team noticed his trespass and reported it to the correct authorities. Running password crackers on a company network without written authorization is Criminally stupid.
my alum-alloy-peltier-inter-cooled-turbo-charged-10 does the trick and is actually 0.13% smaller than the alum-alloy-peltier-inter-cooled-turbo-charged-9 model
So, if the government or a corporation tracks an individuals surfing habits, it's bad. If we do it to get a date, it's good. Perhaps I'm missing something.
Well, at least this trailer didn't have that god awful line. I had made up my mind to save my $9 on this one. Still, if they yank that line from the movie too, then I may just have to check it out. Especially if that was Claire Danes I saw in there.
was between about 3AM and 7AM on a Sunday morning with a project due Sunday night at midnight. I had been out drinking and was on my third cup of coffee back in my dorm room when I had the most joyous experience in my life. I wrote C code for 4 hours without compiling. Then, as I was getting ready for a power nap, I tried a compile. It worked. No syntax errors. Then I ran the sample data though. No errors. I was done. And it was all thanks to the miracle of caffeine mixed with about 8 shots of vodka. I got an A in 15- 213 that semester by using that same strategy right up to finals. Thanks Grey Goose!
Lets support our troops now whatever our politics have been.

I have always been a big fan of Michael Moore. I've read his book and went out of my way to see him speak at my University two years ago.
He is wrong. Sure, I can find people who disagree with this war too. I just need to ask my friends who dont watch the news or read... at all. They hate Bush as much as Mr Moore, so they share his opinion of the war.
Everyone that I speak to who actually has any knowledge of world events supports our president. I do too.
And I voted for Nader (in MA, not FL, thank you very much)

also from the article:
"Dating from roughly 740,000 years ago, it is also the oldest ice core ever retrieved."

If only I could mod this up beyond 5. It's insightful, informative, funny, and offtopic all in one.

At first I thought the headline was referring to another HampsterDance ripoff like JesusDance.
Little dollar bills doing the twist. Surprised I havn't seen it yet.
