    No, it would not.

    Facebook would be responsible for what is posted on servers. Only. If someone copied the data to MySpace, that is a problem for MySpace, not Facebook.

    I think you would quite well working for Facebook.

    I'd suggest that you look at several of the eReaders out there.

    My local Staples has the Kindle and B&N has the Nook. For reading, I prefer the matte screen with eInk. A lot stress on the eyes. Added bonus is the longer battery life than the full color versions. And cheap as heck.

    My Motorola Android Razr Maxx makes a good portable eReader as well, but for eBooks only. Not so much on PDFs which don't resize well..

    Personally, I can't stand extensive reading on the iPad, although my daughter did get a piece of software for writing screen plays, forgot the name, but it does make the screen a bit easier to take.

    not free software. As you clearly point out, it isn't really free, is it? Software always has a cost, either in terms of dollars up front or on the backend. You do it yourself or pay someone to do it.

    Just don't do a dual boot. I found that it is easier and cleaner to install Ubuntu to a second hard drive and switch between the OSes from the BIOS. I don't need Windows 7 that often, but it has come in handy.

    I know it is a pain. But I recently did just that on an older HP laptop with Vista ( shudder ) and it did not re-install any of the crapware. I even created a DVD full of software I wanted using a fully protected machine. I installed everything on the Vista laptop and it is actually quite sprite. I even did a 'dd' with an Ubuntu to another, larger drive. I swapped drives and rebooted. Six months, so far, and no issues.

    And that way back, the idea was to poison the well so badly as to make these efforts not worthwile; encrpyt everything you can and include the 'seven words' that attract the NSA to your email.

    Staying where your parents were, let alone upward mobility is gone in America.

    In what America was that ever true? For most, setting aside luck, regardless of what you do, the class you were born in is the class you die in. You might move a little upwards within your class, but it was rare to find someone in middle class breaking out into the upper class. They would never have allowed it. Even those of us with better incomes are 'nouveau' and are never truly accepted.

    What stats would you accept? It doesn't sound like you would accept anything that doesn't sit well with you.

    And 80K is not bad pay, even in NYC. You can't afford an apartment on Park Ave., but you can do quite well living in the boros. This isn't based on any stats, this is based on people I know personally today and dated in the past. Teaching is a thankless job, to be sure. But the perceived low pay is the not the highest complaint that teachers have either. But I think anything I tell you will fall on deaf ears. Your mind is already made up.

    So, kindly, stay out of my ass. I had a burrito for lunch ( early as I am not sure when the power will go belly up ) and I don't think you really want to go there.

    Personally, I think both parties are full of crap. Not that it is any of your business, but I supported Obama. And plenty of teachers support Romney.

    Try New York City, for one. You do need to eat if for a few years and get your Masters degree, but the pay does become quite good.

    Particularly when you consider that it comes with a three month vacation. And before you start with how teachers are doing work during the summer, date a couple of teachers, especially the lower grades.

    When men aren't being stupid, they know women are the stronger sex. It is women they lean on when they are afraid. It seems only natural to think of that boat beneath their feet as a woman.

    As much as I dislike Apple, the company, they do have some smart looking gadgets. And they owe a lot of that to Steven Jobs, I'm sure. But that thing looks like the Staten Island Ferry. A nice one, but a ferry none the less.

    I just went to Google, typed in yachts and hit image. There were some truly beautiful boats; sail and powered. Steve Jobs was NO boat designer.

    Sorry, I can't agree with that statement at all.

    The Government and Corporations are objects. Not thinking individuals. As a people, we allow them to behave the way that they do.

    We keep electing the same bastards into office. If we always voted the incumbents out, they would not be able to cause as much damage. If Congress could not act, then they would get nothing done, which I suspect would be a lot less harmful than what they have been doing.

    We keep buying the products of these companies. The decision making persons keep their positions at the pleasure of the stock holders. Stop buying the stock in these companies. Stop buying the products of these companies.

    Simple really. But people are too stupid and/or lazy to do what needs to be done. So, you get what you deserve. Stop whining and get back to work.

    I played them for the social aspect, like a bunch of guys getting together for a LAN based game, all the while missing the old fashioned pinball games with a real table and a metal ball banging against the glass.

    There would be a beer standing on the shelf next to the table and a cigarette dangling from my lips, the smoke getting in my eyes and the score getting better as I got more inebriated. Or teaching the hot chick how to play pool, even though we both knew I knew she already knew how to shoot.

    Angry Birds on the phone brings a little of that old feeling back. A dumb game to be sure, but playing it, side by side with my wife, trading tactics and discussing the issues of our lives is very relaxing.

    But the hunt is missing; I already know I'm getting laid later.

    Sorry, a little off-topic, but I've been through all the 'this is dying, that is dying'. So what? It's always been an evolution.

    A trade with whom? Both companies' equipment is made in China. Cisco just sells their stuff.

    As for paranoia, the US should be paranoid about Cisco stuff be made in China. It certainly gives me the willies. As does the fact that our medicine and vitamins are made over there as well. But that has had a good affect on me, I guess, as I am eating more local grown foods and staying away from processed foods. Except for Heath bars. Can't resist those.
