Just a few points: 1. The new diesels are not loud. When you are driving you can't tell the difference, it's only when you are idling, and it sounds like a tractor, that people notice. 2. I don't know about the situation in the US, but in Canada probably around 1/2 of the stations have diesel. 3. In cold weather they start fine, provided your glow plugs are working, and you are using winterized fuel. Trust me, I have started mine in -40(F or C) weather. Actually, it was pretty funny, my car started no problem, while my friends subaru WRX didn't want to go! Don't expect the car to warm up in the winter though!
I know the Smart is supposed to be in Canada later this year. I would have to assume it will be available in the US too, but can't say for sure. It will only be available in diesel, since it is too small to have the required venting needed for a gas tank.
It's is a good thing we still pay by the litre, and not by the kilojoule of energy! Don't forget, it takes less crude to create that litre of diesel, compared to the litre of gas, so if you are looking at it from a natural resources aspect, it is far more efficient Of course, if you measured by CO2 emittied, he has every right to gloat
How does this realate to open source? Many of these programs have eula's that the users blindly click through. Even if the source is availble to them, it won't help at all
Actually he said DVD-Xcopy users. The only reason to use DVD-XCopy is to burn movies, because it defeats the encryption. For data DVD's you can just use Nero, or any other favourite dvd burning software
I think it all depends on your philosophy of life. If happiness is playing it safe, then the IT job is the right path. On the otherhand, if you can accept that life isn't always going to be safe, and you want to reach for your dreams, and can accept failure, the band might be better option.
The government agencies are covered. Whether any of them actually understand the legislation is a whole other issue. They have instituted this legislation, but not provided much information to us, to make sure we are following the new rules
Saying that most people hate it seems to be going overboard. Maybe most linux users hate it. I am pretty sure most other people could really care less, they just want something that works. Although bashing MS is always a good way to get modded up around here
This was probably the best post in this whole thread. It's funny how people can be so quick to judge others, but are so much slower to judge themselves.
I can't speak for the rest of the world, but in Canada the libraries have to register their copiers with CanCopy. This means copyright holders actually do get some money for the items being copied. This is one of the reasons copies cost so much. Of course, there are many stipulations as to how much of a work can be copied e.g. max 20% per work
Actually, the movies made the story for me. I recognize that LOTR is amazing story, but I really couldn't appreciate Tolkien's writing style. At least this way I got to see the majority of the story
How could you say Ghostbusters 2 was better then the original? I guess I shouldn't put much merit into the opinion of someone who has Legally Blonde 2 in their collection though

To be fair, those $50 oil changes are only every 16000km, or 10000 Miles, which for me makes it the same as my Corolla was costing

> Computer experts are widely seen as pasty, overweight, greasy-haired, acne-marked antisocialites
There is a reason for this stereotype
And they didn't include that you would have to go outside, talk to people, and maybe meet a cute librarian or something
I agree with you, that's it's not justified. But the Ass. Head thing was still pretty funny.
The Cuda really should be plum crazy purple though!
But the library does have to pay copyright fees to CanCopy, and is supposed to enforce the rules of CanCopy

Was it the medical skull bong, or medical wizzard bong?

If it was your sister-in-law sending you that subject line, you probably did the right thing and deleted it
So, you have nothing to say, but insist on saying it anyways

I read this and thought it was just some geek girl trying to troll for guys...let's post something as a girl, and see how many guys we can turn on

Well, according to the police report she was born in 1982

The difference being that this is not college, so why reinvent the wheel?

you have to feel bad, I mean the Monkeys put so much heart and soul into their music, only to have it ripped off!
