I just started using it for a few clients and I wish I hadn't.
it's extremely peculiar to install, it doesn't reside well with others, it crashes and refuses to start for no apparent reason, it has way to many log files to be troubleshoot, it eats memory for breakfast, it doesn't support installs in a custom directory. it's their way or the highway.
Zimbra support is next to useless.
comcast is a bunch of morons for trying to use this as an enterprise suite. it will work well with dedicated servers and dedicated staff.
I will offer my music over internet radio for free. There's not a damned thing they can do about it.
I own the copyrights to my music. If I want to sell my music, there's not a damned thing they can do about it.
If I want to broadcast my music over the actual air waves for free, there's not a damned thing they can do about it.
SoundExchange, if you attempt to collect royalties from me or any other station who plays my music, I will sue you so fast, your collective heads will explode.
a T1 is for morons who never heard of fiber. the local telco sales rep will do anything to keep you from looking into other network providers. you must work for mayberry public telephone service because fiber is just as solid, but surprisingly less expensive. T1 lines are an ancient product that telcos hope to hell customers don't reevaluate. That's where telcos make the majority of their money.
I just bought a bitchin canon a630 8MP digital camera. I'm looking now for a nokia n80 3MP phone. my last camera was a canon SD330 2MP. even though my new phone will have a higher resolution, it can't beat my old canon camera. it has a tiny diffused LED as the flash. it has a fixed focus. and, it only has software settings in place of hardware settings.
my new canon a630 is way better than an n95 under all conditions. 9 point aiaf. manual focus. true macro mode. the only things the a630 is missing is canon's famous image stabilization and the facial recognition.
but for $199 for an 8MP camera, and a canon no less.
Exception Relating to Security- Nothing in this Act shall apply to--
(1) any monitoring of, or interaction with, a subscriber's Internet or other network connection or service, or a protected computer, by a telecommunications carrier, cable operator, computer hardware or software provider, or provider of information service or interactive computer service, to the extent that such monitoring or interaction is for network or computer security purposes, diagnostics, technical support, or repair, or for the detection or prevention of fraudulent activities; or
(2) a discrete interaction with a protected computer by a provider of computer software solely to determine whether the user of the computer is authorized to use such software, that occurs upon -- (A) initialization of the software; or (B) an affirmative request by the owner or authorized user for an update of, addition to, or technical service for, the software.
my systems are "protected computers". my use of software does not grant the publisher access to my systems, quite the contrary. any violation of my systems or network integrity will be prosecuted under the computer fraud and abuse act.
tivo works just fine.
and for stuff I want to watch commercial free, Internet Bitches!
Welcome to FL, the land of crooks, thieves, corruption, scams, no child left behind, stolen elections, stupid politicians, and now criminal CD sales.
write your state congressmen and women. explain how stupid they are to do this sort of thing which is anti-consumer, anti-competitive, and anti-smart.

when Linux gets stable ASIO support, and they port propellerhead's Reason to Linux, I'll switch
I'm a certified Linux sysadmin and a jazz musician.
It's not there yet.
no one wants to completely abolish copyright. We all want to reform it.
it is currently being abused and there are several statutes which misinterpret the constitution.
Copyright was never intended to secure revenues for corporate interests.
It specifically denies corporate entities from owning or profiting from copyrighted works.
these types of registries are enacted by dumb politicians who don't know their ass from a hole in the wall when it comes to technology.
most spammers operate out of foreign nations such as china. They don't give a crap about Utah's registry.
most spammers don't give a crap about any registries.
They are allowed to become a monopoly once again.
They are allowed to do anything they want.
They are dropping VOIP customers because IPs can be spoofed and firewalls used.
It was messing with the NSA's equipment in tracking people.

this has RICO written all over it.
those gentlemen from Jersey offer a similar deal.
maybe.
mainframes are no longer necessary.
the only reason people still use the AS/400 or any other IBM mainframe is because it was too expensive to justify scrapping for something modern.
the AS/400 or iSeries as it's been renamed, could be replaced in a heartbeat by a LAMP server with an AJAX frontend for 1% of the cost.
you can run LAMP on an iSeries now if I'm not mistaken.
hahahahahahahahaha
This doesn't merit discussion.
Listen up Captain POTS

what do you mean "if" ?
Vista is a big turd.
The market is responding accordingly by flushing it!
OMG Star Trek is REAL!
at least he didn't download training manuals from the Chernobyl power plant!
Vista breaks most video-related functionality.
try playing a dvd on tv-out with vista. unless your television supports hdcp over dvi/hdmi you're stuck like chuck.
key functionality is to be able to play dvds on your hdtv over component cables the way my nvidia card was designed.
toshiba has nothing to do with the problem other than not being hdcp compliant.
but they're raking in the profit on software licensing.
They get paid a "per unit" fee for licensing. and don't forget how much the sdk costs to license.
They have taken their husband hunting online.
