    ATI has had some notoriously bad drivers that should not have shipped though... (ask some early owners of the various AIW cards...)

    It still exists, just unofficially at 70. Any state above that risks losing highway funding by the federal government. (Montana had no speed limit until recently, ND recently pondered moving up to 75 put decided it would be too costly considering the lose of income.)

    Also, the federal government has no problem whatsoever withholding highway funds for ANY problem they may have with the state.

    Easy, use a model similar to seti. First, each packet is processed twice, by two different machines. If you get different results, go back and do some checking. That is also assuming everything is encrypted and the binary is somewhat secure also. If processing each one twice wastes too much power, do every 3 or whatever, and if you run into a problem re-analyze the machines past few packets to see where it started. And obviously if you get bad packets it should be fairly easy to track the machine down and correct it.

    I think this might be a little bit too soon to have it posted on slashdot, you only have a few pages covering memory and string handling, and nothing ground breaking at that.

    It does look like a good start, add a few more chapters and you will be halfway there...

    umm... 8 mb is more than enough for divx, avi's, mpegs, ANY other full screen video you want to watch...


    1024*768=786432 (total pixels)
    786432*3 = 2359296 (we have 3 color per pixel)
    2359296 / 1024 = 2304 kilobytes (1 byte per color-pixel) (assumed 24 bit color, 16 million...)

    end result is 8 megs is more than enough for some very nice triple buffered video, and double the amount needed for double buffered.

    Absolutely no mention of security... They must be using the great built in features of Wi-Fi...

    Also, wouldn't this make things a little TOO easy. Before, someone could easily comprimise your network, they still had to work to hit anything else, now you are giving them access directly to your desktop.

    It is entirely a hobby for us, everyone is 100% volunteering for it, most of us do it for the thrill of the chase! (imagine the Twister scene, looks about the same...) We do carry scientific missions also, most recently upper atmosphere mercury sampling.

    Wind doesn't matter too much, the balloon isn't tethered, and has gps and radio telemetry on it for recovery. EVERY package except for #1 has been recovered, and that one was more of a platform test/throwaway anyway.

    Did the same thing, and after digging through linksys's site, i found out there IS a way to correct it. (check the docs, basically you just toss a new firmware up to it even if it doesn't respond. The router portion is seperate from the switch, which seems to be able to flash it.)

    I'm guessing that they still think they are in control because they bought the majority of it!!! The only other possiblity for supporting the space station is from Russia, who's space program is funded by the US anyway for a considerable amount...

    Read the details, it starts an electric motor, and then recharges itself from this motor. Laws of physics say you will still run out of energy, period! Electric motors are not very efficient, 50-70% for normal motors and maybe up to 90% if you are lucky for a decent 3 phase brushless design. and secondy, wtf is up with using a Delorean?? It is a car that is finicky and breaks often at best, and that is the normal dinosaur burning model... I keep expecting to see a 'Mr fusion' strapped on the back!
