x86 instructions are CISC, but the CPU hasn't been implemented that way for about 15 years. A modern x86/64 CPU does not look anything like CISC. The only remnant is the instruction decoder.
The more Chinese that are killed through pollution, the better. After all, they are doing it to themselves. It doesn't matter how much Apple and others are willing to pay for manufacturing, none of these companies forced China to run with no rules, nor forced Foxconn and the like to pollute. Let the Chinese take responsibility for the Hell they created.
Which means you lose about 72MB/GIG... so my 2TB drive isn't.
No, it means you're an idiot who cannot deal with the fact that the prefixes have a specific meaning unless one is talking about computer memory (RAM/ROM). The storage vendors are using the terms correctly.
Contract or not is orthogonal to bring-your-own-phone pricing on T-Mobile. You can buy the phone from them on an installment plan and be on a month-to-month plan with no contract. If you decide to cancel service, you're still on the hook for the balance of the phone's price. Or, you can buy a subsidized phone on a contract, and it will work the same as with any other carrier. You can also bring your own phone and get a discounted rate for month-to-month or contract plans.
I realize that you're being rhetorical, so my reply is not directed at you, per se.
If you feel guilty when you copy some media, you've been brainwashed. Copyright law (as it stands) is immoral, and supporting or upholding copyright law is immoral.
But then, I guess since I choose to live in the boonies, I don't deserve to be able to get a full time job which will support a simple lifestyle.
What you don't deserve is for someone else to create a job where you happen to live just so you could fill it. There has never been a time in history when one was guaranteed to find work where one lived. The only exception to that was Feudalism. Feel free to become a serf.
Neither the scientific method nor the concept thereof are incompatible with faith. That's such a ridiculous assertion that only a slashdotter could have made it.
That science allows us to discover and reason how things work and how things came to be does not remove the ability to have beliefs pertaining to things that science has not (yet) explained.
Having faith in an idea that is contradicted by scientific evidence may be irrational. That, however, is a separate discussion.
In a reasonably-sized company (100+ workstations), the management features and software compatibility are the primary reasons for choosing Windows. Linux doesn't even come close.
I don't know about Gates, but Buffet is well-known for bemoaning the fact that he pays less (as a percentage) in taxes than his secretary does. I have never heard of him advocating any changes that would increase the tax burden on the Middle-class relative to his own. Quite the opposite, actually.
No, it's called reality. Reaganomics is the idea that the rich will allow more wealth than absolutely necessary to trickle down to the non-rich. This is, of course, totally absurd to any rational individual.
Then don't develop for i-Devices. It's not that hard.
And for the record, I'm not a company, and I've published 2 apps that have brought me about a 3-fold return over the cost of 3 years in the development program. In other words, I've managed to bring significantly more than I've spent, and that's with a niche app that has had no advertising.
You don't know what a "Free Market" is. It's not about telling companies how to support their own products. Apple is not violating some mythical "Free Market Principle" by limiting installation options.
According to you, it's a Free Market violation when a movie theater charges admission. It's the only way to get in!!!111oneoneoneeleven!
I have 2 apps (one of which is just a better version of the other) on the app store, and I've made a profit every year since 2009 (when the first went up). Of course, this is a hobby for me, so the only cost is the $99 for the developers program. I already owned a Macbook and an iPod Touch before the first iPhoneOS SDK was released.
What is Palestinian land, exactly? The West Bank was captured from Jordan in the '67 War. Jordan hasn't asked for it back, so who else should it belong to?
Unfortunately, Islam has been hijacked by radicals who believe the only good non-Muslim is a dead one. What you say is true, but that's history. No ME country tolerates Jews, accept for Israel.
(Not that Jews are not allowed, but they must practice in secret, if at all.)
Apple has not dropped Universal binaries; they just dropped the need for them (as they no longer support PowerPC).

What the bleep are you talking about? Every LCD panel has moving parts. How do you think they work?

I am not sure anyone would take it that far, but believe you me, the RIAA is trying.

If you think a few shits on slashdot count as a big PR hit, you need to lay down the keyboard and pop the rather tiny bubble you've been living in.

iOS apps that are trojans have been found and removed by Apple. I don't see that Apple would have a significant problem.
Orthodox Judaism does not deny science. Unfortunately, many Orthodox Jews do. As an Orthodox Jew myself, I find this to be sad, but true.
Wow, you're lost. The article you linked to was about a U.S. court. This article is about an Israeli court.
It would be welcome change to the world if you were to leave it. Voluntarily or not, doesn't matter to me.

If you can't sell enough to make back the $99, your app is either uninteresting or the zillionth copy of some other app.
If you want to bypass the requirement for testing on a phone, just jailbreak and test that way.
If you are earning minimum wage, you aren't paying (Federal) taxes.
