You see, I firmly believe timothy works for Unicast. Now EPSN and MSN sites will have a slashdotting ammount of visitors and that obviously will lead to insane ammount of ad views and "Success With Internet Commercials".:P
Why is there always a "I see the risk of misuse" on every new technology that comes out? Are we all mad evil scientists? One can misuse a kitchen knife and inflict far worse damage than with a brain pacemaker.
I may be wrong, but kitchen knives are considerably easiear to get a hold of.
Could such tech be used to detect amphetamines on athletes? I see it as something like airport metal scanners and it could even be broadcasted live to the whole planet right after the competition.
Hmm... or even before competition! Talk about intimidation.:)
It's a NES clone released in Brazil in the late 80s. It was actually pretty good, with the design copied from the Atari 7800 and controllers copied from the Genesis.:)
Nintendo had a similar engine in Kirby's Tilt 'n' Tumble for the Gameboy Color, where the player had to tilt the Gameboy to make Kirby roll. And the gyroscope thing was inside the game cartridge too.
Too bad the GBA SP loads the cartridges from below, making the game unplayable.:)
Apprentice - "Look, master, I have invented what I shall call THE BATTERY" Master - "And what is that battery of yours, young apprentice?" Apprentice - "It produces electricity, master!" Master - "And what does this electricity you talk about do?" Apprentice - "Well, um... nothing really right now, but I'm sure that in a few centuries..." Master - "You know, I think that wheel thing you came up with last week might be slightly more useful right now... and stop wasting our precious vinegar!"
Agreed. That's exactly why bikes are *the* HT of choice in Southeastern Asia. In some cities almost every single individual uses a bike every day. It's kinda like Kamen's "dream", but much cheaper and healthier.
Optical mice tech would be great if used in optical trackballs (or tracklights), it would be most useful on notebooks, since, so far, there hasn't been a decent internal pointing device on those.
Of course, you could get blind without careful placement...
The headline starts with "Australia's Bizarre... ", so I just assumed it would be about cattle-eating bats or something.
That's an octet, boy! OCTET!
Kids these days...
quantum systems will be much more efficient at rock-solid cryptography and mass database searches than running the latest version of Doom.
Not even quantum computing is fast enough for Doom 3, eh?
Nuff said.
Google will release web-based Duke Nukem Forever.
Search for linux and get microsoft.com as the first result.
Feeling Lucky?
Why has this article been published on Slashdot anyway? Just to make fun of the poor fellow?
Or maybe Slashdot readers suddenly became a bunch of dumb wannabe geeks who really need that kind of "tips" and I haven't noticed yet.
I thought it would print females...

Now the Cold War will finally be over!
:D
Ah, wait, you mean this Iraq operation is not an extension of the Cold War? Why is it going on, then? Why are they cracking the KGB code?
Quite old, actually, here you go, the Phantom System.
:)

We don't want Duke Nukem 3D source code, goddammit, we want Duke Nukem Forever binaries!

The Bork edition does not have ad banners! Talk about extra features. :)
I hate you Taco, I hate you! I was avoiding all those spoilers and reading the spoiler-free Slashdot frontpage and you tell me that ENTS CAN WALK!?
I don't wanna see that movie anymore.
Oh wait, you mean P2P was NOT endorsed by the studios?!
Hmm, I was thinking about not using a ball at all, but running your finger over the light!

Wow! Theme support! That's great! That's all a light and fast browser needs! Man, theme support!
Er... wait... who the hell needs theme support?
Some designs (and designers) are only fit for anime.
At least it's not a Hamtaro mouse...
"Raise the sale" it is.
