    Neither the MacBook or the iBook G4 have two latches on the screen, neither have audio jacks on the front, no apple notebook shipped with a 4 pin FireWire jack (on the front? are they serious??), etc.

    Really, I like lilo much better, just as long as you don't do something silly like "lilo ; shutdown -r now". Always make sure it kicked back a friendly message. :)

    Duh. Thats why you do "lilo && shutdown -n now".

    Thats what I mainly use them for, holding audio cables together. Better than velcro, and cheaper to boot.

    Releasable Cable Ties 100 Bag $4.79 I get them from Wierdstuff in San Jose for about $2.50/bag. I use them for organising cables as well as on frequently used cables on the shelf. Long-term cables that come out mabye once a year or less get normal zip ties.

    Seconded on the PocketDock. Bought one right after I got my mini, never used the dock cables again (I always carry retractable usb/fw cables). A little pricey ($28 shipped (from Germany!)), but worth every penny.

    Considering that the DS had the highest launch sales of any console in the UK EVER, and has been outselling the PSP by 2x, I wonder how you are defining "flop".

    Probably the same way people who consider the Gamecube to be a "flop" even though it has higher worldwide sales than the PS2 or the XBox.

    You dont need to install anything.
    Simply run "control userpasswords2" and you get the old win2k users and passwords control panel, allowing auto login and such.

    In some places, like Buffalo MN, the WiFi uses some kind of propriety hardware, and so you won't get a signal with the card you bought at NewEgg. So you're stuck buying whatever they say you have to buy to if you want to use it.

    WiFi is a standard. If they claim WiFi complience but use something propriatary, then they are lying, and it isn't WiFi.

    WiMP9 for mac is only useful for playing WMV3 video inside a WMV container. It will not play WMV3 video inside an AVI container, and VLC for mac plays neither.

    Hate to reply to my own message, but it's actually 7.3MB thats required for 1600x1200x32bpp
    (1600*1200*4 / 1024 / 1024 = 7.32)

    1600x1200 at 32bpp requires 12,800kB of RAM.
    My 4 year old 16MB Rage Pro has no problems driving my display at 1600x1200x32bpp

    Now not only can you get high off the markers to label the discs, but you can get high off the discs themselves.

    The last digit signified the software bundle that was installed on the machine. The first three digits signified the hardware configuration.
