There was this big green paperback book circa 1979( or sooner ) that explained BASIC programming for the TRS-80-ish platform .
From that humble beginning I got the spark. This spark in 1989 goaded me to learn C so I could dick around with the current high-tech topics of the day, cellular automata and ant theory via Quick-C.
After years of doing sales work that turned from tech support work to into a programming job I made a career out of it.
That book... best investment ever.
My smartphone came with an app called "Power Off" that I find to be 100% effective in preventing work interruptions of my personal life.
The only catch is that it seems to require a reboot to turn the app off. However this is a small price to pay.
Given that we supported Soviet Russia, a supposed mortal enemy, from its inception thru to its demise with money and food- I would say that you are spot on.
The military-industrial complex is good at buying enemies.
Yea, I'm thinking along the lines that what was actually said was" "All digital communications[ from parties that we are interested in, or may be interested in ] are recorded"
1) I'm not a troll, I'm trying to present another point of view( ok, maybe a little trollish, but just a little ) 2) I see you have a problem with metaphor, let me help
From YOUR God, The Wikipedia: "Morality (from the Latin moralitas "manner, character, proper behavior") is the differentiation of intentions, decisions, and actions between those that are "good" (or right) and those that are "bad" (or wrong)"
Here we can formulate a basis for morality within the framework of The Theory of Evolution. To wit, that the "good" are those who survive and reproduce and the "bad" are those who fail to thrive and perish. In an uncaring universe with no law higher power this is the end of what can be described as good or bad.
Glad I could shine a little light into your world!
Well, let me simplify it for you... The Theory of Evolution says that the good, at surviving, get to reproduce and that continued survival-reproduction process is where any sense of morality ends.
For evolutionists the meaning of life is to survive and reproduce. For the religious the meaning of life is to serve a higher power or meaning.
You may not wish to concede that 'survival of the fittest' is a kind of moral principle... but then you would be wrong.
Furthermore, I would like to add, atheists ARE religious insofar as they subscribe to the typical religion athiest religion, evolution
Evolution, as any other religion, seeks an explanation for the origin and meaning of life.
The guiding moral principle of evolution is "survival of the fittest" whereas an explanation for the origin of life evolutionists have faith that it just spontaneously arose from inert matter.
3 days for bitching, pissing and moaning. 3 days for dicking around on the interwebz 1 day lunch overages. 2 days for "zoning out" 3 days for witty banter.
Indeed, my friend, indeed. Joe IS here.

Its a solid rocket.
Indeed, what was that line from that Denzel Washington movie?
"Given enough voltage you can get a horse to deal cards."
Man, it kills me when someone quotes a great mathematician/great proof and the neckbeards come out to tell you that you are wrong.
I made the mistake of describing cardinality to a coworker and had him unwittingly suggesting that Cantor is wrong, he thought he was arguing with me.
Its all a big bologna measuring contest.

Reread the post, note the use of the word 'insofar'.
I believe there is a strong correlations between atheism and evolutionist leanings.
Thanks.
