    But when I go outdoors it's to get away from the computer. I'll never buy one. The most I have is an MD player.

    While there are uses for one, I just don't see why a laptop isn't fine for almost all others.

    It seems as if the article has been slashdotted already. From what I get from the article blurb, and the reasoning from the US gummint's site, it looks as if the lobbyist bitch because the Ukraine won't protect IP (read: Arrest people like Dimitry Skyarlov for no reason). So what do we do? Don't let them trade with the Ukraine! I don't know whether that's to shut up the IP mongrels in the US, or punish the Ukraine. If it's to shut the IP mongrels up, it's a good thing. If it's meant to punish another country because it has different views and values of what is correct than our government is, then it is an outrage! As soon as I can view this article, I'll decide what to do. I will probably be writing my representatives.

    In America, they teach foreign languages, but they're usually optional. Many colleges require 2 years or more of a language.

    the Silver dollar is usually referring to a large 90% (10% copper) silver coin with the head of the Statue of Liberty and an Eagle on the back. There's also the Morgan dollar and the Susan B. Anthony dollar, which looks way too much like a quarter. The gold dollar was that Sacagawea dollar that they released in 2000. It's not gold at all, it's brass, and it's small. Kinda popular, but I haven't seen one in about a year.

    My boss wasn't around. He would've gotten a mouthful tho! HE complains because a lot of the kids my age ask for breaks hourly, and the one who does it most got a $1 hourly raise. Whenever I work, I take no break, even on the occasional (illegal) 12 hour supershift. yet I'm still making PA's $5.15 minimum. Never late, never ask for days off 'cept for school stuff, and I still got the cut. :(

    Missing the get-drunk-with-coworkers party sucks tho :(

    I'm 15. Legally, i can work 3 hours a night, No later than 7, and no earler than 3PM. No more tha n 18 hours a week. Same for weekends, except I can work 8 hours. I can't run all sorts of equipment and can't use all sorts of chemicals, including latex paint. I can't lift over 35lbs, according to the federal government. Now, find me a job that actually gives me 18 hours a week, and I won't pirate. I've tried, and I have a job, working 5 hours a week. So, before you toss the "I wouldn't buy it anyway" excuse out the window, think.

    All everyone does is bitch. Be glad you even HAVE service! There was NOTHING keeping Cox, Comcast, or ATT from stopping service when @Home died. My poor cable company had just sold to @Home 2 months before death. 5000 subscribers. Right now, i get telephone modem speed. Unhappy? Yes. Disappointed? No. I had about a half hour of downtime, that was at 2AM on a Sunday. Email change was a breeze. Be happy with what you've got!
