  1. Fact and fiction on Kerry Concedes Election To Bush · · Score: 1

According to this, , 75% of Bush supporters believe Iraq was providing substantial support to al Qaeda (and 20% believe Saddam was directly involved in 9/11, though another study puts that at 56%). 72% of Bush supporters believe Iraq had WMD or a program to develop them, 72% believe Bush supports the treaty banning landmines. The list goes on. None of these beliefs are correct, but when you can successfully trick people into believing these things, you can probably trick them into voting for Bush too.

  3. Executing juveniles on Bush, Kerry, and Nader Respond to Youth Voter Questions · · Score: 2, Interesting
In response to question #1, Bush said "Federal law prohibits execution of those under 18 when the offense was committed".

Today CNN reports: "more than 70 people who committed crimes as 16- and 17-year-olds are on death row".

So what's up with that? Does Bush not know the law, are these convictions illegal, or is there a loophole?

The US isn't that popular with most of the world, especially if you consider the views of regular people rather than governments

This is a recent development, and brought on by the actions of the Bush administration though. Before the Iraq war, even people in the middle east had a 75% or so favorable view of the US. After 9/11, there were candlelight vigils in Iran, of all places. 9/11 united the world with the US. Bush destroyed all that.

Your argument would make sense if there was a finite supply of terrorists that could be lured into Iraq and finished off, end of story. In the real world, however, there is a constantly growing supply of angry young men willing to take up the terrorist cause, exactly BECAUSE of the invasion of Iraq.

Even if, based on all the information he had access to, Bush sincerely believed the US was in danger, that only serves to illustrate a serious lack of judgement. The president of the most powerful nation in the world should have better judgement than that, and that is why Bush has to go.

If you are using a USB mouse through the monitor's USB-hub, try plugging it directly into your computer. Also try if running the monitor at its native 1600x1200 makes a difference.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not deliberately opening my network to hackers and miscreants bent on downloading copyrighted material. I'm simply choosing not to secure it.

No, what we have is a bunch of freeloaders that, for all their talk about how they'd buy music if only they could buy it in some *other* way, are really nothing more than thieves. Read any of the discussions about the music industry from *before* iTunes came along. Pretty much everyone said that if the record companies allowed them to buy individual songs instead of whole albums with only 2 good songs on them, they'd buy more music. Now that option exists, and what happens? Some kid breaks the DRM mechanism, and everyone jumps to his defence, because all they really want is FREE (gratis) music. All that talk about buying songs was just that: talk.
