I had to wait almost 6months to get all my hardware supported by XP when it first came out, and I bought it the same year as the release.

Oh yeah, more security blah blah blah.

  5. Dual Monitors for Win32 on Multiple Monitors Increase Productivity · · Score: 1

I've been using two monitors for quite some time, I think since Windows98 supported it (badly I should add). People usually give me a weird look when I tell them, but now I can print this out and show them that I'm not insane, I'm an innovator :)
For windows, imho the only way to go is with a high end Nvidia card as the primary and a decent secondary card. Before you ati guys start frothing at the mouth, let me explain.
Nvidia's detenators come with a great feature called Nview. Nview is designed to make it easier to work with dual monitors and luckily it works with a non-nvidia secondary card (mine is an ati 3d rage pro :) ). It puts itself right next to the window controls on the top right and gives you tons of control. i.e. I can easily set a window to be ontop of all the others, send a window to a paticular monitor, maximize a window over multiple monitors, and much more. I don't know if the new ATI cards do this, but if they don't, they should.
Of course gamers can understand the benefit of dual monitors. The benefits aren't limited to flight sims either. I tend to keep an irc window or a messenger window open on my secondary monitor while I'm full screen in a game on my primary. Or even watch tv with my tv tuner card. Not to mention how convenient it is when you are outputing to a tv and need a place to keep controls open for sound, video, etc. Its just convinent as hell.
Course there are some problems. Some games don't properly scroll because the cursor ends up on the second monitor. I'm stuck using the arrow keys to move around in Civ3, a total pain in the ass. Not to mention the icon the amount of icons I can fit on the screen. I suggest anyone who has dual monitors switch their icon size to atleast 96x96. Mine are 128x128 and it'll amaze you how much easier your machine is to use.

Oh yeah, 2 wallpapers is pretty sweet too :)

I would start here, its a pretty good site that has a lot of information of
what you can do with mini-itx and features note worthy products as they come
out. Personally I think what you need is a HUSH.
Its the size of a dvd player, its completely silent and its so low power that
the power supply (95watts I think it is) is external. It might not be the cheapest
itx option out there but it fits all your (and mine) requirements and adds the
nice look factor aswell. They seem like a pretty good shop and they even let
you buy it without an OS, which I'm sure you'll (and me too but for different
reasons) appreciate. If you do get one I suggest getting it with 128ram and
buying more ram elsewhere, they're based in Germany and the value of the Euro
really shoots up the price of ram (and everything else I imagine). Btw I don'
work for these guys so don't assume I do, but I'd gladly trade a free one for

Games that people actually play are the only real benchmarks as they represent real-world results, the only results that matter. Nvidia optimizes it's drivers for games(benchmarks) and so does every other 3D video card manufacturer, is that cheating? No thats improving performance by tailoring the drivers for a specific enviroment. Thats optimization. Is compiling for athlons cheating? Course its not.
The only cheating is on futuremark's part for selling a product that they claim is a valid benchmark for 3d gaming when it is nothing of the sort.

Ok guys, this is my review of Enter The Matrix. Hope you enjoy.

The action is very well done. Combat moves look amazing. Try to think of all the combat moves that were done in the matrix. You can do them all. From neo's cartwheel gunshooting to trinity's cannonbal move. It really feels like you are controlling a zionian. The story is awesome because it starts right after the last flight of the osiris (the animatrix episode) ends. So it feels like everything thats out for the matrix is connected. Not a bad way to sell stuff imho. While you are enjoying the awesome action you also enjoy an amazing musical score. Its freakin amazing!! I have noticed that framerates get very-low in large area locations, but I think the recent patches will fix it. Its games like this that keep giving me a reason to say "I can live with windows and all its MANY faults as long as I can keep playing these games".

    I'm sorry if this reads
    weird, I've been doing
