So finally I follow one of these guys to see where he ended up. I honked my horn rythmically as I drove by.
You stopped too soon. Once you've lured the boob out of your neighborhood, you could use several of the other techniques mentioned here such as the HERF gun to disable the electronics in his car leaving him stranded (without the solace of music) or the suggestion of using a combination of 2.5k candlepower flashlight pointed in the offender's face and maybe an airhorn (while wearing ear-protection)
I'm just really glad that the government is doing all it can to protect our precious film industry. If movie pirates were to succeed, the terrorists will surely have won.

This seems to imply that the Sonoran Desert (Tucson, AZ, et al) is some sort of wasteland suitable only for inundating with 10k sq miles of algae pools.

I love to strip audio out of tv shows, movies, commercials, etc. I have hundreds now. I saw your sig and it was coincidental - I just grabbed clips from "Dusk 'til Dawn" the other day. I was going to spontaneously email you that particular clip, but you don't have an email listed. If you'd like me to send it (if you haven't grabbed it yourself already:), send me mail at mmrtnt55@netscape.com

Quote from the public comments on the revised proposal to final judgement:
373. However, the major comments concerning file formats request disclosure of the file formats of Microsoft products such as Office. Office does not meet the definition of Microsoft Middleware, and so it does not fall under Section III.D. Nor is Office implemented natively in a Windows Operating System Product, so it does not fall under Section III.E. Thus, the file formats for Office will not be disclosed or licensed pursuant to the RPFJ.
Paragraphs 371-375 on the page contain more information about it but that's the main point.
What I don't understand by this is that under the US anti-trust settlement, Microsoft were made to release the specifications of their communication protocols to competitors.
That's true, in spirit. In actuality, if I remember correctly, the conditions under which MS is required to open the protocols for the office products contain at least two rather difficult obstacles:
1. Require Microsoft to document, disclose or license to third parties:
(a) portions of APIs or Documentation or portions or layers of Communications Protocols the disclosure of which would compromise the security of a particular installation or group of installations of anti-piracy, anti-virus, software licensing, digital rights management, encryption or authentication systems, including without limitation, keys, authorization tokens or enforcement criteria; or
No matter what, a better Windows just means a harder time for Linux adoption.
It certainly doesn't mean that Microsoft is any less evil.

When I'm tyring to read, I don't mind ads as long as they don't move. Ads that keep blinking and flashing and moving are now most happily disabled.
I used to just rename the Flash plugin when I wanted to view some Flash content. This is infinitely preferable.
