And I'd be willing to bet you're not an FTE for the temp agency either. They refer to us as "full-time employees", but we're still only employed for the length of the contract with their client and are not given the same benefits as those who work in the agency office.
Dictatorships have always feared large groups of citizens massing in public. The TS(S)A will continue to discourage people from leaving their homes for any reason other than going to work.
Yep, agree 100%. As an IT contractor for over 20 years, almost every assignment/job I've had ended with an invitation to an exit interview which was swiftly followed by my polite refusal. I just won't do them. I've always resented the implication that my leaving a position will somehow make my comments more honest.
The strikers will tell everyone they'll show up to the picket lines somewhere between noon - 4PM. They'll show up at 4:30, knock quietly once, leave a "Sorry we missed you" sticker and go home.
I was an early Beta tester for the first version of JumpGate and my experience with NetDevil was very positive. It was not unusual to get a response from the top guy, who was very technical and a total gaming god, to bug reports or feature suggestions. I loved the first JumpGate and was disappointed it didn't catch on.
Based on my experience with ND, if they say they need more time, it's because they want this game to be worth a gamers time and coin.
I volunteer at my local Goodwill and I've seen many, many people gratefully snatch up used PCs and assorted gear. You get a good tax break, you put much needed gear in the hands of people who will appreciate it and the numerous drop-off points make it easy to deliver it to them.
I had a similar situation - years of accumulated "experimental" gear and not enough space. I posted on Craigslist, a couple of locals came, paid me and hauled it all away. No shipping costs.
True, but Kurosawa's already told them and told them much better.;)
I'm honestly not trying to be a troll here, but I'd really like to know if anyone is interested in seeing any more from this franchise? Is there anyone out there who truly enjoyed the last three films and felt like their time and money were well spent? If so, I would really like to know what you liked about them.
I'm not trying to start another Star Trek vs Star Wars vs Babylon5 vs Firefly war, I just couldn't make sense of any of those last three and would welcome the opinion of someone who actually enjoyed them. Where is the fan base for this franchise?
I only upgrade to versions which end in a even number. Works every time!
But then again, I only upgrade after taking my left shoe off, so that might be a factor too.
JackKirby.
What is this "magazine" of which you speak?
Aw come on, what about "HUMUNGOSAURUS"? That sounds pretty bad-ass.
Well said, Mr. A. Coward.
"You have no right whatsoever to anonymity in public."
True, and yet many people think they have it on the Internet.
(this isn't my real name, by the way)
So, I'm reading this to include all police and retail security cameras.
"Hi, welcome to Walmart, sign here to allow us to monitor you while you shop. Have a great day!"
Making fire with two sticks.
Building a shelter with a minimum of resources.
Foraging for food at night.
Navigating by stars.
Hand-to-hand combat.

"...a vacuum cleaner, or a car, or a book."
Three items not owned by a majority of /. posters.

I've been sticking forks in electrical outlets for years and I'm not any smartyer.
I think it's easy to buy James Franco as a stoner because James Franco IS A STONER!
Anyone see his eyes-swollen-shut, dry-mouthed performance in the aptly named "Your Highness"?
Come on, Jimmy. Save it for the weekend!

Anybody who wants to look is more than welcome to do so.

..the picture of Steve Ballmer demonstrating Microsoft's next version of Exchange is pretty educational.

Come on, what about "MANHUNT"? "ACTRAISER"? "UNREAL"?
Got to be some of the worst titles ever.

I see the house of the future as an animal skin covered tent in a vast field of ice and radioactive waste.
it's where they get all their best ideas!
(calm down modders - it's just a joke)
