    carbon, in certain configurations, is FAR stronger than steel (diamond, buckminsterfullerine, etc).

    Indeed, my mom's last cat China Blue (rest her little soul) would not eat meat cuts that were under $5/lb. =] Filet Minion was a favorite. Cat's really are very finicky

    lets assume that we want OS X to move to x86-64. I would love this as well, get Apple using fast, 64-bit chips. Alas, there is already a TON of software for the Classic and current OS X that would either not run, or would have to be recompiled. Older Classic software would have to run in an emulator... blah. It's just way too much complication, and then unless they use a pretty custom mobo architecture w. x86-64, they will get muscled out but discount systems. So its pretty much a losing situation for Apple any way you cut it that way =\

    actually thats kinda what C# and .NET want to do, and java was supposed to do (and to some extent did) is provide client-server model data flow with applications that sit on the client's machine, and communicate over HTTP or HTTPS (XML-RPC and SOAP), bypassing webpages/websites altogether. Still, i like the web and browsers because you (generally) have little overhead for what you get out of content delivery.
