If you RTFA hosting is not the issue. It's the guy who owns the domain OSWD.org that wants to disenfranchise everyone, though he really has done nothing to provide content for the site.
It's funny how the real issue here should be the misuse of copyright once again. Scientist trying to use a misapplication of copyright and censorship of their own materials to try and force their point accross.
I don't know. I was reading a distros mailing list concerning this and there were mentions that Reiser4 has corrupted user's data. Maybe it needs to be more stable as other posters have pointed out, and it really isn't about politics.
Yes, I hated the Spielberg A.I. ending too that ended up being more creepy than anything. Kubric, saw the problems and how pointless the struggle was and that's why he never got around to making the film IIRC.
Also, who would have thought that the twin towers would not be there for the next ice age??
Don't give up hope. Toshiba and some Korean companies have started to produce SED screens. All the benifits of a CRT without the problems that LCDs and plasmas have in a nice flat screen. The blacks are very black too.
I too am a CRT guy who likes the qualities it offers, and I am finding many large CRTs dropping in price, esp. in the used market in my area. My CRTs should last for another year when SEDs are supposed to arrive.
Who's going to jump on the patent that eliminates the process for processing the elimination of patent requirements?
What this means is anything can be patented now. Which means I'm going to get a patent on silly slashdot posting and you are gonna have to paypal me royalties.
From TFA;Therein lies the rub. Microsoft cannot fix the code--that's the point. It apparently cannot be done. Get over it. And when the spyware epidemic appeared, the company had to throw in the towel. Spyware exploits the basic architecture of the operating system, and no amount of patches will change that.
Maybe foundationally the architecture is so poor that no amount of code writing could be done to fix it.
It may be the cost of paying for all those backward compatibility barnacles through the years.
Or maybe Microsoft just doesn't want to bothered with it. But don't you think that if windows code was open sourced that eventually all the leaks would be patched??
I knew that's what somebody would come back with. Countless computers still have floppies and floppies are still being used. Otherwise, how would I know that the floppy doesn't automount?
I couldn't see the videos, but I bet one missing test is mounting/using a floppy. Other distros seem to be able to automount the floppy (Xandros) but last time I tried suse it was a big deal to get it to work.
Thanks for telling everybody about our sekrit inventory plan. Now everybody is going to be demanding the new ones or holding out for a few months. You blew it for us you pencil-neck geeks.
I think that it has been quite a while since we had this quality of sci-fi on the tube. In my opinion (and a few others) I entirely think it is worthy of a number two spot. As an "ensemble' type cast, it can't be beat for scifi on television. I have lost interest in pretty much other TV shows because of galactica.
Also, I think that it is better than the Star Wars prequel movies made by George Lucas.

Do not forget that Gmail waits 9 months to delete your account due to inactivity, Yahoo is 4 months. Hotmail is criminal with 30 days.
Yahoo and Hotmail want you to "subscribe" to prevent this.
More people should know this to prevent their loss of data like what occured to me.
Put one buck in and get two back from all those people clicking on the topical paid links from google searches.
Great business decision. I just wish I could have gotten in with the IPO stock.
Pluto is a planet, not an object. Anything else is either cultural revisionism or solar system wide discrimination.

So what's stopping me from having science insert that gene into my offspring?
A delta-32 dating service???
Aren't there ways we can spend this money that might do something a little more rational towards increasing security? Like what? I dunno
Like maybe get some sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads???

And what if you replaced the phosphorus coating in a fluorescent bulb with quantum dots?
I do not think that you would want to. The tube lifetime would be the same as it still is a tube. So there would be no cost benifit
That's the whole idea with LEDs - they are solid state and last considerably longer.

Because it was the FBI, they were enforcing federal law, not a local law that the Michigan lawmakers may have passed.
Forget that it can handle all those processors. Look at all the pretty colors.
Maybe it was built by unicorns....

Yeah, I used to pay $35 a month for POTS (and that's as low as it got) and I get a skype-in number for a YEAR for what it cost me ONE month with POTS.
So I am saving $385 dollars plus I don't get all the crap calls I was receiving before.
VOIP is VERY worth it.

You're putting gasoline on a fire.
that Dark Doesn't Matter??
After this the question is does Dark Energy Matter??

Not Love,

Perhaps a coffee flavoring agent for Folger's "value roast" blend, sold for office use only?
Not only that it's mil-spec. But one minor problem - when you go to the bathroom it smells like diesel exhaust.
Or it would be - "Your call is important to us, please hold. Approximate compile time is 24 hours."
but with a massive article like this one, it's tricky
Are your power supplies blowing up??
