  1. Re:Enough is Enough on 60GB iPod Coming? · · Score: 1

My 15gb iPod doesn't even hold a third of my MP3 collection (about 13.5gb of music, 1985 songs atm), and while 80% of the time I'm listening to 20% of the collection, the other 20% of the time I'm listeing to anything from the entire collection. I'd love a 60gb ipod. Then I'd be able to hold all my music and have about 15-20gb free to move shit to and from work.

I hear that bro. First auto car I owned (180sx), I used to always pull up to a stop, and go to put the clutch in and drop down to second/first. Which of course resulted in me hitting the giant brake pedal and locking up the wheels- But it wasn't auto for long, so it wasn't a problem. Did it again a couple of times when I first had my Monaro tho :)

No. Plasma tvs are a horrible technology that degrades fairly rapidly with time (pixels dying off), and at best a stop-gap solution until OLEDs become mainstream, and Sony et al know this. Plasma is basically a "hey, look how much money I have" badge, and they will remain rediclously priced until OLEDs are big enough and reliable enough to replace them at the same prices. Then plasmas will be worth spit. OLEDs will drop in price though, as they'll be used for smaller tvs and pc monitors as well.

When I think about it, that was probably my first real hack :)

Wow, that mature, researched and footnoted response will definitely swing people towards your point of view. Not to mention the entire tone of this response seems to be "nuclear power==nookyoolar bombs". How this made slashdot I have no idea. And I'd like the subitter's political opinions cut from the story blurb too dagnabbit.

But what I meant to say was the page table entries don't have an execute bit, which is what I believe the NX flag is, for cases where the OS was designed with 4gb flat selectors for CS/DS. This would allow (with much less modification to applications/system) page-specific protection against execution.

I've even got a couple of mates who find bald women sexy! Personally, I've got the ability to grow a nice head of hair, but it's been getting a regular #2 recently, and I've spend a fair amount of time in the past with it as bald as I can get it with a razor... BALD IS BEAUTIFUL! :D
