A friend of mine had some trouble with Walmart censoring his personal photos. He and some friend took some funny pics with a hot dog and it looked like...well...a 'real' weiner. They refused to give my friend his pics, so he stood by the desk and harassed the customers for a half hour before they finally agreed to give him the pics if he'd just go away.
I have one good reason why home theater is better than the cinema - Cell Phones.
Nothing I hate more than paying good money to see a movie and then having some assbanger's stupid cell phone go off with the latest gay ringtone while he shoves his arms elbow-deep into his oversized pants trying to find the stupid phone he should have turned off before coming inside the theater.
And if the little assclown decides to actually ANSWER the phone...
The last Star Trek movie was not that bad. The one before it stunk. We all know that the Star Trek series suffers from 'every other' syndrome where every other movie is good. Everybody knows Wrath of Khan was better than the 1st or 3rd movie.
If the movie does well, would it hurt it to go back to being a weekly series?
Would you rather have a trilogy of full length movies or a weekly running series? If the movie is successful, can the networks afford to pay everyone involved to make the show?
I think Serenity is going to be a major hit and it is going to make big stars out of several of the cast members. I think we will also see Joss Whedon go on to be a big name writer/director.
I've got Win2k on an older machine and had no major problems with it. However, I have never installed and then removed an OS so fast as when I tried using Windows ME. It was basically like Win98 3rd Edition with a few cosmetic changes, but mostly just a big pain in the hiney.
PC gaming's problems are rooted in quality control. How many times have you bought a game that practically REQUIRED you to go download a huge patch file just to play through it all. You can't do that with console games, so when you buy a PS2 or XBOx game, you at least know the damn thing is going to work.
Do you think the more widespread use of high speed Internet and sites like Kazaa and BitTorrent locations are part of the cause. It is pretty easy to go download a commerical game, even if it might take all day to get a couple gigs worth of data.
I think the two main problems are buggy software and lack of innovation. They just keep polishing and repackaging the same old stuff.
Okay, just making sure. They may email you again asking for the same information just in case. Be sure to respond every time. It gets the info updated much more quickly that way.
Were you sure to give them your ATM Pin number, because that is always an important part of account verification, you know? Especially for AOL and PayPal users.
You beat me to it. The alcohol trick works perfectly. Just make sure you use the clear kind and none of that mint scented stuff, though it probably wouldn't hurt.
I thought those classic NES games for the GBA were a ripoff. They expect me to pay 20-25 bucks for the same exact game from 15 years ago without any new graphics or sound. I can download Nesticle and a couple hundred ROMS quicker that it would take me to drive to a store and buy one of those games. Hell, I could get on Ebay and buy an actual NES system with those games.
I think maybe Nintendo is feeling pressure from Sony's PSP, which is obviously superior to the DS, and they scrapped together something just so they can present. Lame!
Actually that episode was the finale of Season One. The producers were so sure that it wouldn't get renewed for a second season that they decided to nuke everything in the end. When it did get picked up for another season, the rest of the shows were like prequels. The whole thing was so silly that they could get away with it.
I am saying that if they have the technology to predict the future and use operating systems that require an NES Power Glove, then somebody there ought to realize that when an employee is fired it might be a good idea to revoke all their logins.
That was when you realized that nobody who actually worked in tech had anything to do with the script supervision. Don't they have technical advisors on that kind of stuff?
This is exactly why the movie Minority Report sucked. After all that happened with Tom Cruise's character, he was still able to get back into the building using the retinal scan as access. That point in the movie killed it for me because I knew all his access privileges would have been revoked as soon as the crap hit the fan for him. People just don't think about that kind of stuff sometimes.
Actually it is spelled Balki. I used to love that show as a kid but I saw a rerun of it a couple years ago and it wasn't quite as good as I remembered.
You want to talk about flops. Man, Atari screwed the pooch plenty of times. I actually owned a Jaguar that I bought used off Ebay for about 30 bucks. I did hit paydirt when I found a bunch of games for sale at a local game traders store. I bought them there for next to nothing and resold them on Ebay for major profit.
The Atari 7800 had potential, but the controllers were impossible. Atari actually had a chance to use gamepads and thought they were stupid, so Nintendo grabbed them and the rest is history.
I never had a PS1 prior to owning my PS2, so for me it was like getting two systems in one. Also, I think the price will drop on a lot of the 'older' XBox games that are stil highly playable and fun. Parents especially will have the choice of dropping 50-60 bucks on a new Xbox 360 game or getting 2 or 3 'classic' Xbox games for the same price.
I just started reading the second book and it begins with a space attack that LOOKS like it is in the movie. I wonder if it overlaps a little bit and sets up a sequel. I can't wait to see this one. I hope it scores big.
This and Serenity are my two most anticipated movies this year.

No way, dude. I just got Season One of Sledge Hammer! on DVD and it is even better than I remembered it.
