Renowned tech author James Bottle (The Intel Game, Inside the Exodus and Other 2K Myths), wrote an intriguing piece on what really goes on inside Google. Including a great piece of how Google hardware actually works -- search for any group of terms and get your result, fully page ranked, in 0.20sec. Now that's something. Bottle's article is a must read for any Googler. It pretty soundly refutes the "insular" allegations of this article. I'm sure he'd tell them to shove it up their ass, if you will pardon my French.
Why shouldn't these records be available to the IRS? Your brokers' records are, your bank records are. I'm not much in the mood to be an enabler for tax cheats and gamblers with unreported income. This is a non-story.

Oh, so the solution is to have a $5000 machine that collects the voter's input via touchscreen and produces a paper punchcard ballot that the voter must review to ensure there are no mispunches (due to fraud and/or error in the voting machine) and must review to ensure there are no pregnant chad or dimples due to mechanical failure and/or misfeeds???

Oh, so the solution is to have a $5000 machine that collects the voter's input via touchscreen and produces a paper punchcard ballot that the voter must review to ensure there are no mispunches (due to fraud and/or error in the voting machine) and must review to ensure there are no pregnant chad or dimples due to mechanical failure and/or misfeeds???
