I downloaded it earlier and was able to make a Skype-to-Skype call from my Android phone on 3G (in England) to my brother's laptop in the States. Worked just great, and the call quality was excellent.
No idea how much of a chunk that 30-second call took out of my data plan though.

Definitely: I had to complete some 2D/3D graphics routines as part of my University studies in 1996 and my Atari ST died on me. I completed the coursework on my Spectrum while my Atari was being fixed.
Grand Theft Auto will appear on the PS3, that's for sure. Big enough of a brand for you? I mean, it's probably only the biggest brand there is right now.
Because Windows SP1 is just about the easiest modern operating system to hack. If you're using the Windows firewall to protect your machine, it's not actually loaded until after your TCP/IP stack in the booting process, and it's shut down before the stack when the machine is told to shut down. If you're using an always-on broadband connection, you will have periods when your machine is booting and shutting down where that firewall is NOT active, leaving you wide open to attack.
I'd say that's a pretty good reason for installing SP2 on its own, let alone the driver updates and subsequent hotfixes. Also, a study was done where an SP1 machine, an SP2 machine and an OSX machine were created in their standard configuration and left to see how much time elapsed before the machine was compromised from the Internet. SP1 took the least amount of time before it succumbed to attack.
SP1 ain't that old. It's still a target, because some people (like yourself) think they don't need to install it. I hope you're using AdAware, Spybot, etc. to make sure you're not getting infected.

You're joking, right? My hands might be slightly 'moulded' to the Playstation controller due to hundreds of hours of play time, but the XBox controller is the worst controller ever invented! It's awful to use, and I certainly for one can't tell where any of the buttons are. Ugh.
I'd like to use Thunderbird as my email client at home. I currently use Eudora and would like to move to a superior product that is free. Thunderbird seemed to be just the product.
I tried out version 0.8 last week I think. When importing my mail from Eudora, it seemed to go well. Then I realise that it hasn't imported any attachments, and any email that was stored in HTML format doesn't render - it appears as the HTML source in plaintext. When I received HTML-encoded email a minute or two later, that was fine.
Obviously it's not mature enough a product to import email saved with Eudora yet, and therefore I cannot switch to it. Shame. If it has an 'import from Eudora' function, I would expect it to work, or at least be told before the import happened that it wouldn't be able to bring in the attachments or HTML-encoded email.
Another reason for not hiding under a tree when there's lightning going on is that the tree can bloody well explode. I've seen it happen. I imagine a chunk of rapidly moving tree can do a lot of damage to a relatively soft and squidgy human.

I can attest that the hack is real, and it most definitely leads to a mini-game. Some people have thought it a hoax, but it's not.
