Well, the alternative is that you could move yourself and your family to India, and work the same gruelling hours (or, poor, you, 50 hours a week!) for 1/10 as much as you make now. If there's any such thing as karma in this universe, you'll lose your job to an Indian soon.

  3. King of the trolls on Copy-and-Paste Reveals Classified U.S. Documents · · Score: 0

You sir, are king of the trolls. This article has *nothing* at all to do with Microsoft, but you mangage to implicate them, anyway. Bravo. I have yet to see such bizarre, twisted, and just plain wrong logic as I have seen in your post.

But, just in case you're mentally challenged, the problem is with ADOBE in this case, because they make the .PDF format, NOT Microsoft.

Maybe, just maybe, instead of wasting so much time building PVR's, you should take some time to think about your TV fetish and realize that you're wasting your time watching and recording absolute crap. I would contend that there is virtually nothing on TV worth watching, hence, my lack of a TV.

Red Hat is barely breaking even. It has a market capitalization of $2 billion. Big fucking deal. That means that the stock is grossly overpriced. Their P/E is twice what it should be. Insiders are selling. If that's what you call a succes, then that's not sayin' much about Open Source's ability to make money.

That's why our company uses W2K as opposed to some tiny *nix distribution. Big companies generally don't do this. Small ones do. Personally, I'm looking forward to getting rid of all of our crappy Adobe Acrobat Readers. .pdf is a real nightmare to deal with on a daily basis.

I don't know of any other software company that releases full versions so often. Seems that Apple is gouging their customers pretty good, and their customers like it. Personally, I don't get it.

That's all I do. I've got most of CHINANET completely blackholed by my server (no IP activity allowed from several Class A subnets), and most of South Korea. Just by doing this, it cut my spam by about 90%. The rest are from zombies, but they're easy enough to catch in Thunderbird's spam catcher.

If I'm feeling particularly fiesty, I may use SpamVampire to hammer on them for a few days, driving their bandwidth costs through the roof.

But all in all, just block the subnets, and forget about it. If China wants to talk to my server in any way, China's gonna have to fix their spam problem.

Perhaps a simple class-action lawsuit for fraud against Ebay would have been a better alternative. Either way, "normal" people are being scammed by the hundreds every day on eBay, and obviously, with the amount of fraud and the fact that it keeps happening indicates that "normal" people do need some kind of legal protection from using eBay.
