FrameMaker is the ONLY Mac option for long-document work. Period. Adobe is forcing the hand of those of us who are Mac-based tech writers -- either we go on using FM in Classic mode until that doesn't work any more, or we get a PC for our FM projects. Can't say I didn't see it coming when they ignored OS X, but it hurts anyway.
I believe Bill Atkinson was largely responsible for QuickDraw and (particularly) MacPaint, though Andy's contributions were considerable, and I loved Switcher.
Yeah, Apple will really get screwed. Imagine, instead of someone buying their $250 miniPod, they buy a $300... regular iPod. How do they ever expect to compete with themselves at this rate?
And oh yeah, Clear Channel now most likely owns multiple radio stations in the market. Starting to see how this works? Ready to hit the road with your bandmates and 20 songs? Didn't think so.
Hands-down best thing to do at a trade show is to ask someone selling the latest hardware gadget whether it has LRF support. If he's smart enough to ask you what that means, you can tell him it's "Little Rubber Feet." Betcha most drones won't even ask.
The BBC audio version was issued to many of the cast members to occupy them on the long flight to NZ. Brian Sibley, who scripted it, has written several tie-in books for the films as well.

Really, is there anything more depressing than an expired condom? Umm... what I mean is, I imagine it must be awful to discover one of those!
You need to get the special unrated DVD version for that.
They found Dick Cheney.
Oh, I see... the Oscars are pointless and stupid, but Peter Jackson needs to dress better when he goes there. Makes sense to me.
Gee, I ran 2600 games on my 5200 with that hardware adapter thingy...
The real reason for the 5200's failure was crappy controller design/reliability.
Sarchasm: The gap between those who get a joke and those who don't. Known to be fairly wide in discussions of Douglas Adams' books.

What do you expect when places like Tower make their hiring decision based on the highest number of visible piercings?
They have -- now they charge $18.99.
Umm... iTunes for Windows is already out. What other "music/media" software do Windows iPod users need from Apple?
And Apple got your money either way. Oddly enough, they're not really worried about losing mini sales to themselves!

Don't feel too bad. "Life Is Beautiful" won Oscars for Best Actor, Foreign Film, and Score, not Best Picture or Director.
Surely LCDs would make this much easier? How about an LCD married to a fish tank or lava lamp?
Have you *seen* elementary school textbooks lately? I'd take an iBook for my kid (if I had one) over that crap any day.
"What is silly is that we still have different units for distance vs. time."
No we don't! If someone asks me how far I live from San Francisco, I tell them, "45 minutes to an hour"!
Right, who needs encryption? Copy whitehouse.gov on all your personal mail, so you KNOW they won't read it!

"Guess what happens if you hard drive crashes? You loose all your music!"
.AAC data files on a a CD-R? (They do have other uses besides actual music, I'm told.)
What's to stop you from backing up your purchases as raw
"Even though Apple is well aware of what tracks you've purchased, you must pay to re-download any music. "
This, alas, is apparently true, I wonder if they are doing this for legal or technical reasons...
I'll answer my own post: According to Intuit, the Mac version does not have product activation.
Anyone know if the Mac version of TurboTax does the same thing?
"Dude, Where's My Ring?"
