I've taken a quick glance at the tutorial, and it looks pretty good! As a Flash programmer, I've long been meaning to branch off into something more, um, sophisticated, and maybe this is the simple introduction that I've been waiting for!
That's what I thought initially, as well. I'm going to assume, though, that I was looking at the wrong timestamp value:

Canon
Canon PowerShot G3
ACD Systems Digital Imaging
2004:11:25 15:23:11 -- Date Time

2004:11:22 18:53:07 -- Date Time Original
2004:11:22 18:53:07 -- Date Time Digitised
IMG:PowerShot G3 JPEG
I was assuming the date/time tag was the date and time of the photo, but maybe it's just the date/time of writing it to a JPG?
So, in summary, if the date/time original tag is to be believed, the sequence went thusly:
If I recall correctly, in the introduction or possibly the afterward of The Fountains of Paradise (at least in this edition), Clarke does indeed mention he was not the original idea man behind the space elevator, and goes on to give praise to Yuri Artsutanov.
And finally, for those of you who might be interested, this month's Discover magazine has an all-to-brief article on the space elevator. However, being Discover, it is a bit of a fluff piece, but decent nonetheless.
At least two of the above points can be currently achieved through the proper extensions:
Session Saver
Web Developer Toolbar (includes many other useful tools)
Hope this has been helpful!
Out of curiosity, did you mean to type "Not unsurprisingly"? 'Cause the double-negative turns it into "surprisingly". ;)
Hilarious, yes. But Informative?!?! WTF? I guess the moderator's never seen MALLRATS.
I assume you mean "regedt32.exe", right? If so, according to this KB article, on an XP system, regedt32.exe just calls the normal regedit.exe program.

Many thanks, Jari Komppa!
This can be accomplished thusly (at least on an XP machine):
I was assuming the date/time tag was the date and time of the photo, but maybe it's just the date/time of writing it to a JPG?
So, in summary, if the date/time original tag is to be believed, the sequence went thusly:
- strangeafter_pryde_big.jpg -- 2004:11:22 18:52:37
- strange_pryde_big.jpg -- 2004:11:22 18:52:52
- strangebefore_pryde_big.jpg -- 2004:11:22 18:53:07
So the before and after shots are reversed, but the mystery pic still occurred between them.I can't wait for the Win32 port! ;)
Screw the spellchecker! Let's just forward everything to you first! =)
Problem solved!
It seems it's been updated to reflect the uncertainty of his birth year.
From Wikipedia [emphasis is mine]:
"Alexander Hamilton (January 11, 1755 or 1757- July 12, 1804) was an American..."

What, like into the dashboard of my Gremlin?
You wouldn't happen to work at the Bush Campaign Offices, would you? =)
... I'm going to guess unused condoms and pink slips. =P
That seems like a very cool application (the robotics simulator, I mean)! I could play with that for hours! =)
Is it a personal / school endeavour, or is it meant to be a commercial project?
You simply buy another one.
Here's prior art to your post about prior art.
If I recall correctly, in the introduction or possibly the afterward of The Fountains of Paradise (at least in this edition), Clarke does indeed mention he was not the original idea man behind the space elevator, and goes on to give praise to Yuri Artsutanov.
The Wikipedia entry for "space elevator" mentions, though, that idea was first proposed by another Russian, Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, in 1895(!).
And finally, for those of you who might be interested, this month's Discover magazine has an all-to-brief article on the space elevator. However, being Discover, it is a bit of a fluff piece, but decent nonetheless.
Hahaha. Reminds me of that old 'Oil of Olay' ad.
Anyone else remember that one?
Good UI? I thought you were talking about GIMP! =P
Quoth the server, "Nevermore." =)
Let's not forget degrees form sound-alike schools; such as MIT -- the Miami Institute of Technology.
And yes, such a place actually exists. I think it's above a convenience store.
I shudder to think what would happen if the winning bid is from... A GRIZZLY BEAR!
We'd all be SOL, I can guarantee it.
I, for one, would welcome our new grizzly bear overlord.
Whoops! That'll teach me to post before I've had my morning coffee. =)
I meant "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart".
It's a quote from "The Daily Show with Jon Sttewart Show".
Why? It'd just be a bunch of reruns. =)
