"...Everyone knows these cases should be thrown out..."
I don't know that. Why should I know that? It sounds as if this is your opinion, yet you don't even offer up any support for it.
(I'm not neccesarily disagreeing with where I -=think=- you're going here, but don't just toss out gross assumptions like that.)
If your primary motivation to avoid Windowz Mobile is OSX hostility, you may want to look into Missyng Sync by Mark/Space. In fact, if you have an OSX machine and device that is supported by Missing Sync, get Missing Sync! At first glance, one might think this little utility is a way to level the playing field on your Mac when syncing mobile devices. It's much more! I'd much rather use Missing Sync with my Treo than try the included software for Windows. It's stunning what this little gem can do.
So, look into it before narrowing your PDA choices.
What does 64bit have to do with driving virtualization? Are people really that ignorant about 64 bit processors and what the mean and don't mean? Seriously, how are these two technologies correlated?
In one of my former lives, the employees were fond of telling me that the server was down. It's not that it was (and there was more than one server), it's just that this became the thing to say when you had tech issues. Every day, all day, I'd have to listen to people stroll by my door and say "Hey, the server is down!" "Is the server down?" "How come the server keeps crashing?!"
Thing is, the server was never down; ever. It turns out, "The server is down" = Mouse unplugged -or- spyware -or- misplaced document -or- copy machine out of paper -or- burnt out light-bulb -or- whatever.
I got fed up. So, at one of of our weekly all-hands meetings, I cleared a little policy change with approval of our president.
"Everybody," I announced, "we have implemented a new IT policy. If the server is down, and you are the first person to alert me, I will give you ten dollars on the spot" Eyes widened in excitement and there was this muttering over this wonderful, new found source of income at the office.
"But!" I continued, "If you alert me that the server is down and it actually is not, you will pay -=me=- ten dollars."
Most CoLo customers are still "Server huggers." They want their boxes as close to home as possible. As such, they will continue to pay through the ass for for data centers in major metropolitan areas until they come to their senses. It really shouldn't matter much where your boxes are if they are built properly. I submit to you that it is a MUCH lower TCO to CoLo in a slightly smaller metro like Detroit, Minneapolis, etc. and purchase some Managed Hosting than to do it yourself down the street.
The OP didn't mention if this was an audio-only presentation, or video, too. Do you need to insert ads? What countries are you delivering to? Using any DRM? Do you plan on both hosting the origin server(s) and delivering the content yourself? How big is your potential audience? How high is the BW on your streams? What operating systems? What formats?
I can't play them on my computer (no iTunes).
Download it, you fucktard. Good grief.
I can't play them on my Rio Karma.
Ugh, this whine again. STFU. Guess what, if you win the 10k songs, you win at least one iPod!
I could give them to my girlfriend, but she works for the music industry and gets her music for free -- she can't remember ever buying a cd.
Yeah, but I can be certain that she'll be dumping you by the time you read this post. Some smarmy radio jock is feeling her up right now while you play on/. with the rest of us losers.

You were taught incorrectly, or, perhaps a more plausible possibility is that you learned incorrectly. Ethernet hubs and switches are both Layer 2 devices. Your best bet is to read/. for a while and resist posting. You may learn something from this very thread.
No, really. I'm serious.
I'm that neighbor.
My network is open and I know it. Borrow it. Seriously.
If you're close enough to actually use my network you must really need it, because you're in my yard with my dogs. C'mon in and have a beer.
I plunk you on a VLAN that is separate from my own computers. It's my service to the community.
Your boss is dumb and lazy. Seriously.
No joke. Not trolling. Consider the cost of something like an iMac that might be able to most or all of this right "out of the box."
Tether your cell phone to your Macbook. Done. Next question please.

Thanks for the nice story, dumbshit.
True:

I never heard about the server being down again.
Ever.
Most.
Irrelevant.
Post.
Ever.
You are right, but...

**Ding!** Fries are done.
Mod this post up; "getagrip" is correct. You have a partially lifted neutral. An electrician must fix it and now.
I'm coming over to your house, jumping between you and your TV, and making porn come on. Funn-ay. Even better when you mom's there.
Still no cure for cancer...
I am so pleased that this device is "striped down." Now if we could only get some stripes going across, we'd have a real winner!

Need. More. Input.
Just in case you were wondering, because the poster didn't bother mentioning it, it's still only for Windowz.

I'd laugh, but realized just how true this was. Now, I think I'll cry.
Agreed. Any chance of modding down the actual story itself? That would be nice.
Maybe you should be more selective about the stuff you steal...
or did you encose in all those formats because you're really that dumb?
Which one is it?

I thought Enterprise was getting cancelled this spring. Didn't Voyager go off the air years ago? Please clarify.
