You may not be aware that one of the characters in the movie was played by Liv Tyler. This was done from a casting couch hovering directly over the shark. basically, this musical is the equivalent of the string quartet that Brahmsed it's way down with the Titanic.
i had no idea they were still making these. does this mean i can buy a lisa? or at least an amiga. it would be pretty dope if they always made everything that had ever been made. get me a new coleco! or a mccormick reaper!
macs. mac support. for them not to roll their eyes when i ask for a mac. for them to get that it is UNIX. UNIX! this is not bill gates trying to jerry-rig a replacement to DOS. it's g.d. unix!
and some hot chicks to come fix my computer. that sort of thing.
...those of us in tennessee can still us video games to kill, maim, dismember and (best of all) sexually assault images of small puppies and kitties! or religious icons! the american flag!
why, with your airtight reputation for being able to spot (and drive!) trends, i'd say this is pretty much guaranteed to be a spot-on prediction. particularly if the prediction was made in 1999.
i'm just happening that someone, somewhere, manages to save the trademark 'zire'. that is a precious word, and one that we can't take for granted.
This is not meant to be a troll, but submitter -- time to look in the FUD mirror.
As a Mac zealot myself, I recognize in your 'I suspect...' statement the painful sort of denial of the obvious of which we are always accused.
I always tell people, who ask how I could possibly be an atheist, to go to church just once and think about everything that is said as if there is no God, and to realize how silly and contradictory it sounds. I'd suggest the same to you with this article. Go back and read it as though you aren't an OSS champion. See if it holds logical water (so to speak).
When I graduated from the University of Tinfoilhats, Ottawa campus, in 2001 with my degree in Paranoia Studies, I thought my hallowed school would never make the mainstream media. And, more importantly, that I wouldn't know if it was, because paying attention to the mainstream media allows the brain worms to eat your thoughts.
This is spoken by someone who has clearly not HTFP (heard the f*cking podcast). Ricky, Steve Merchant and the absolutely sublime Karl Pilkington are worth the money, I'm convinced. I'd pay $2 a week just for Monkey News and Karl's diary.

comic book generation? was this written in 1950? what kid reads comic books today? and, incidentally, my memory is that comic books have fairly good grammar and spelling, with the exceptions of your 'pow's and 'biff's.
actually -- a company is introducing haptic touchscreens that, IIRC, use side-to-side motion to fool your fingers into thinking you're pushing into the screen.
I have absolutely no problem with paying representatives well, as that is the only way to ensure that the most talented people seek the job.
i think the opposite is true. anyone who makes the determination that it is more important to make money than to be a public servant is someone i specifically don't want representing me. not that elected officials should make lousy wages -- but the idea that good candidates don't run because they don't make enough is, in my opinion, erroneous.
bonus points for non-fiction? there's more use to non-fiction books than fictional ones? is this solely within the context of this conversation, or do you actually believe that? is a photograph worth more than a painting on this point scale?
wouldn't they do the same with any major OS, such as OS X? and, if so, wouldn't it likely be a similar exploit? and, if so, shouldn't someone have likely found it?
people started using google because it gave the best search results, not its clean interface. as long as it continues to do that, it will continue to lead the search market.

maybe you attach a malarial vaccinator on a usb port and he'll be happy. or add a full-price copy of vista.

I don't think Karl possesses the humility gene that provides that system of checks and balances in most people.
