You could try replacing the executable from another Windows instance, or Safe Mode maybe. Except the binary (like Cortana among others) is a monitored file, whose hash-sum is checked, and will be replaced by the OS if it is found to of been tampered with.
You rename the folder Cortania is located in, works for me.
why use the app? oh right they INCESSENTLY harrass you to install it by multiple prompts CONSTANTLY.
They do? I have an account on there and have posted stuff and I have never seen a single thing like that. I didn't even know there was a "reddit app".
(And why would anyone use it, when you could just use the website and not make yourself vulnerable to whatever the hell the app wants to do to/with/against your device?)
It started a week or two ago. PC, If you don't log-in, your asked to at every move. At the bottom of the request is: "skip for now", so it's going in that direction.
Mobile, the app is almost thrust on you, and I still haven't used it, and will leave rather than.
You know, it's been a nice run and all, but I'm spending more time keeping it working the same way than I should be. Enough is enough.
I'm using Chrome as Firefox 38.0.2 will not display. Process Explorer shows it loads just no GUI. When I get control of FireFox again I'm disabling updating. Who knows Opera 12 next...
That's it's Win10 problem, with Linux Mint after disabling Hardware acceleration it will then show videos.
I may be wrong, but I think once you(r computer on its own) upgrade to Win10, your Win7 key is listed on Microsoft's activation servers as no longer valid. Thus you might install Win7, but you can't activate it.
You can use Win7 as long as you use it on the same system it was installed on.
For NT, W2K and assuming since. There is/was a number system that was taken away from until it was considered a new system. Why one always claims a network card as it adds a point; a CPU counts at 2 points. I think the base number was 8.
I added drivers to my Win7 until it up and called itself illegal (I was changing out the mother board and was going to lose the OS).
My Grand Dad brought home a large Lipton instant Tea jar full of Mercury. He claimed it was used at work for cleaning.
I've swallowed Mercury, not on purpose - was going to shoot it like a empty Bic Pen spit wad when it fell down my throat.
Couldn't get rid of it, putting it down the drain was an experience. It would sit in the U-tube of the sink thwarting any attempt to remove and unclog (no one knew Mercury was poured down it). One day the U-tube shattered spilling Mercury all over, the Mercury had crystallized the metal.
Finally buried it, and it stayed for awhile; until company was over, me digging idly in the soil and look a Mercury mine. He came over regular to dig after that.
This was in Junior High and I haven't seen any problems.
I've seen Nervous system damage to the Japanese due to Mercury fumes, I'm not too sure it can hurt one otherwise.
Maybe I'm missing something, but a tank had a leak, but since it is double walled nothing escaped and they agreed to stop using it and have a plan to deal with the waste.
Am I missing something?
Is the fact that the federal government does have competent people in it that can do their jobs really news? I could see maybe if there was a political angle, where despite Trump's best efforts the EPA managed to get significant work done, but it is not even that.
Is there some imminent danger I'm missing?
The real problem here is what the tanks contain. Nobody is really sure, just bad stuff that's highly radioactive.
They contain waste from Platinum production, mostly waste after the platinum is pulled from the fuel elements. The waste could be anything, no records were kept.
No censorship, no fear of being banned (unless you spammed). I know it's still accessible but seeing BurfordTJustice is posting in alt.home.repair the writings on the wall.
Maybe the searchers trust Google to have what they need, Plain and simple. I do and can enter gibberish and expect Google to produce. An example a movie I've see once and no clue of it's name, input: movie beach ball monster - results, top (first) hit was it: "Dark Star", which youtube had available (I didn't say it was a good movie).
Would the other search engines done as well? I've no clue, I have only used Google cause it's working for me.
I don't know why, but the Amiga was the only system I've used that warned against bumps or dropping; due the possibility of the drive heads taking a divot from the platters.
Someone would slam their joystick on the table and I'd almost panic.
Victims receive a file named "video_xxxx.zip" from one of their Facebook Messenger contacts. Opening it will load Chrome along with a malicious browser extension.
How does opening a.zip run the contents? Does the user also have to run the i-know-you-want-to-double-click-me.exe file?
That's an easy one, you count on users trusting Windows. Since the start Windows has screwed users with extensions. Either hiding them or only showing the first encountered.
MyFile.zip.exe was very popular awhile back, it would show as a MyFile or Myfile.zip file, yet run as the hidden.exe file.
As for asking to run it, many have most likely tired of saying yes to the requester and disabled it.
not sure if clickbait or fear-mongering.Go eat a banana then get tested for radiation. Bananas are an excellent natural source for Potassium, which is naturally radioactive. Radiation Dose Chart According to that chart, a banana is about the same dose as living within 50 miles of a normal reactor for a year.
You are aware that the idea of a "banana equivalent dose" has been thouroughly debunked, right? The net increase of radioactivity exposure from eating a banana is: zero
I was subject to yearly whole body count for heavy metals of radiation. Have you eaten bananas in the last week a question asked (false positives I assumed).
Coleman lantern mantels (Thorium) were a lot of fun. Many who spent the weekend camping couldn't get past the radiation detectors.
Or tinyurl.com. They have been doing this for a long time now, and no log in required.
Two links to Slashdot.org - https://tinyurl.com/87d will take you right to /. and https://preview.tinyurl.com/87... which will allow one to preview or see what link you will be taken to.
"Click here to enable previews." seen when previewing, I assume (I've never used it) will make previewing automatic, or default.
Protect yoself before the Zuch wrecks yoself with APK HOSTs File Engine!
Have no facebook hosts file but was still getting through, had to add .facebook.com (dot first).
Go OUTSIDE and give it a try. Did you know the sky is still blue?

Doesn't that lock you into streaming video from Chrome though, rather than just sending the graphics card output?
It's possible to send it through VLC to Comcast https://vlc-media-player.en.so... this is a VLC download and linked only for it's text, It's best to get VLC from it's source https://www.videolan.org/vlc/i...
Worked well for Digg
Think that should be Digg 4.0 worked very well for Reddit.com

Now how about a way to stop it collecting the data in the first place?
Most data sent can be blocked in the Task Scheduler.
There are .CPL's that claim opt-out's, but they don't work, only from the Task Scheduler. It's always been this way.
Application Experience
Collects program telemetry information if opted-in to the Microsoft Customer Experience Improvement Program.
Cortana can be disabled by renaming the directory: x:\windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy
My favorite is most noticeable when people order fast food, "Can I have..."
"Always Connected" makes sense, as if Mirosoft supplies ISP you must not disconnect ever or lose it. Any monies payed up front are forfeit.
I assume for tracking purposes.
I had to see it work https://www.youtube.com/watch?...
Surely you mean Plutonium, not Platinum?
Yes, thank you.

The graph linked shows only China mismanaged over 5 Million tonnes of plastic waste.
