At my job we've been working with RC2 and the new firewall is a complete joke. We can turn it off by simply changing a value in the registry. If the full version is like that people won't be as secure as they think.
Just because it failed to maintain it's flight it doesn't mean it wasn't a success. If they couldn't get it off the ground before and they finally did now then it is an improvement.
BTW, I'm a CSULB grad and I've seen these geeks working. I'm sure they'll get a successful flight up soon
If the kids didn't have guns they wouldn't have gone out shooting. Or better yet, why don't they sue the government over the 2nd Amendment? That allowed the parents, probably, to buy the guns in the first place.:rolleyes:
Here's a real idea for the parents: Why don't you act like adults and start parenting your kids! God, the kid plays a violent video game, big deal. The kid then goes out and shoots guns at cars. That's not the game's fault; it's the kid's fault for being stupid enough to think that's acceptable behavior. You're the parent, you're suppose to teach them what's right and wrong by the time they start school.
The parents are at fault here. The game industry can't control the fact that moronic little kids are going to buy the game and do stupid things. They were going to do stupid things pre-video game buying, so they're going to do them afterwards.
As a happy Earthlink customer I've noticed the shockingly large amounts of spam that get through their normal filter, so I'm happy that they're moving to a better system.

What happens to normal mailing lists? I'm on a few lists at Yahoo.
The fact that the Sci Fi channel is going to be showing "Tremors: The Series" shows how stupid their leadership is. Cancel Farscape but put on a show based on a movie that did ok in the first run then screwed up in 2 and 3(the fact that there was a 2 and 3 is mindboggling), right[/Dr. Evil]
Man, Those wacky Microsoft guys and their talk about they have the "best" engineers in the world just makes me laugh. I just hope that when I post this no XP holes are found and violated in my system.

Microsoft has to make sure that users have a smooth upgrade to XP, something they failed to do with ME. I'm personally going through with the upgrade....to Windows 2000 Pro. Enough of my games and apps work with it that it's become an alternative to XP, plus its just as stable.
Am I going to get rid of my Linux just because XP is supposed to be the be all end all OS from Micropuke? Hell no. They'd have to pry that OS from my cold dead hand. Sure it's not ready for the desktop of oh lets say my mom or grandma but I can use it fine for software development.
Most likely though XP will shoot itself in the foot because of pricing, it's intrusive appeal, and negative publicity online.
The thing about a Linux distro including tons of software and what Micropuke is doing is that with a linux distro you can DECIDE what you want on or off the system. With Micropuke you either install it or install it.
Are Slashdot et all going to be run off of a duel G4 Power Mac running OS 10 because that would be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LAME!

When is NVIDIA going to slow down and let gamers and game makers revel in the their latest creation. The Ultra barely came out and they're coming our with one that's 7 times faster than it. But..........7 times faster is pretty sweet!
I spent 3 days tracking down Red Hat 7.0, got 3 of the discs and I'm so happy my professors gave assignments that requred me to use Linux, otherwise Mandrake would have been gone and Red Hat 7 would be installed. Could have been worse, I could have installed it and found all 2500 bugs in an hour.
