    People who pay for a new phone are idiots now. Thyere's so many perfectly functioning phones out there thaqt there's no reason to buy a new phone unless you've got more money than sense

    I'm a UK resident, and with the goverments campaign of saving money by shutting essential services, it may be a case that an Uber ride will get me to the nearest hospital much quicker than an actual ambulance. Heck, the bus might be quicker.

    They want to turn it into a product no-one wants, so then they can justify discontinuing the Mac line and focus on iOS devices

  8. We have to do something about the ease of procuring a gun. No-one has been murdered by a video game (though there have been a few cases of murder over a video game), therefore video games are not the problem. you don't see brit blaming Jamie Oliver and Nigella Lawson for the high rate of knife crime, however they're always using knives on daytime TV, which even a 5 year old can watch.

    I know billboards are a thing, just not on high-speed roads (ie anything over 30MPH)

    I don't even want my smartphone cloud-enabled. If it dies and loses its data, it's my fault for not backing it up. I'd rather know it's me in charge of my devices than some faceless corporation

    But here in the UK we have strict regulations on distractions whilst driving. That's the same reason the billboard isn't a thing here in the UK.

    Technological progression is not linked in any way to economics. If it was, there would have been no video games crash, no dotcom bubble, and no bitcoin bubble. Also just because my phone has more processing power than the Apollo Lunar Lander, doesn't mean it will get me to the moon.

    Cool! So now all i need to do is take a good high resolution of someone, paste that picture onto a 3D model (or on older phones, the gummi bear fingerprint cloning trick), steal their phone and then i have access to all the details about their hemorrhoids and that time they got a cucumber stuck in their rectum. Privacy FTW!
