unfortunately, 100% of the people not convicted of crime also ate bread.
On the other hand, i've yet to see a single crime after people stopped the bad habit of breathing, so as long as we stop breathing, crime should go down immensely
My biggest beef with eve-online is the huge "empty" spaces in time at start.
After the tutorial, you basically can't do much more than mine and train skills for several weeks before you can even think of starting to do more interesting stuff. There really should be a better, longer tutorial style introduction, also, the agent system is terrible. After my second tutorial agent, i was basically completely unsure where to go for "my level" of missions, trying in the next 1.0 space system got me blown up in the first mission i took from a level 1 agent.
Why can't the USA use the same system as practically every European democracy? Vote nationally, and each party gets a percentage of the power based on their total vote percentage.
This "winner takes all" system that the us has makes absolutely no sense.
Actually, the most idiotic problems I experienced myself were the mobs running away at olympic sprinter levels when on low health, the insanely high respawn rates and the fact that abilities were laggy as hell.
Mostly though, i stopped playing because the immersion was just not all that fantastic. Decent enough game, great concepts, but not so great execution.
yep, my turkish friends in istanbul were of the same type, going to the mosque 5 times per day and then taking the dumb foreigner(me) to drink raki by the litre.
A good friend of mine refuses nowadays to return to the US, she is a us-born woman with filipino roots living in finland nowadays with her (finnish) husband.
After twice being submitted to full strip searches entering her homecountry, she just couldn't stand it anymore.
In helsinki(finland) you see a lot of young children on the bus, either to/from school or sportsactivities even till quite late in the evening. I think the culture of fear that is so prevalent in the USA and the huge inequalities are creating these overreactions.
unfortunately, since the 1900 the british didn't actually update or change anything.
Whenever i am in the UK, i know that i have to take atleast 30 minutes extra for a shower since the lack of waterpressure makes it feel more like a gentle rain than a shower

Finland, nr2 least corrupt country in the world? :D
population density of the US is still about 4 times higher than finland though
Actually, about 60 dollars in helsinki for 100mbit atm.
yes, it's called the sun, you might have noticed it.

and this incentive would be to make some money out of your hard work.
By say protecting it as yours for a period?
I agree copyright in it's current form is out of hand, but some form of copyright has to exist.
Books are easy to replace, cheap and require no electricity to operate though.
Ease of use is still a lot higher than ereaders or computers.
yep, zeeland is in the netherlands, "holland" technically is only 2 provinces on the west coast.
While it is common usage, it's still dead wrong.
They are legal in their local versions, removing all nazi icons etc.
many western countries nowadays equals the USA?
most european countries have no laws against nakedness as such, except if it is pornographic.

Logitech is swiss, not american.
Microsoft keyboards are us-designed.
Rights, simply as that.
Same as movie rights for a book, the author has the right to decide by who and how his work gets used.
Reading a book to your children, or whatever is a fair use right you have.
Selling one version of a book(text), with a way to make another version of the same(audio) is/shouldn't be a fair use right.
This is just Amazon abusing the cheaper ebook version to make a selling point.
It could even be argued that the Author doesn't want his work "maimed" by such a conversion system. atleast not on a sales-level.
In your own home, by your own means(non-commercially) is fine. Amazon abusing a grey area, not so fine.

It isn't really good as a simulator anyway, since you can't feel heat or have a simulation of the heat of the fire.
So true, i must have cut myself a few times with my swiss army knife before my dad's knifesafety rules made sense ;D

I always thought The US version of "legal rights" was seriously ass-backward.
-drive at 16
-gun licence at 18, afaik.
-allowed alcohol at 21.
Am I the only one who thinks this is asking for trouble?
In the REAL nordic countries ;)

That depends where you live.
Salt only works in relatively high temperatures.
In nordic countries, salt is never used, since it would be ineffective most of the winter.
