Just like the Anonymous Coward said above, 1 mile is 1,609344 km. That's a difference of 0,009344 km for every km. Over a small distance, say from you to your neighbor, the difference is not quite important. But in this case we work with stuff in space, the distances are huge and that little difference would for sure cause the probe to miss its target.
I mean, does Micro$oft is now a software compagny ? or a computer hardware compagny ? or a gaming console compagny ? Something else ? A lawyer bureau mabye ? Or a we-sell-all-things-possible-to-make-a-big-monopoly compagny ? So, anyone ? Please, because I'm lost right now...
According to this page and this one, it uses the Celeron. Well, mabye they used the PIIIs at first, then switched to Celerons later to keep the price very low. That's a possibility. Or mabye they used a P3 with the cache reduced (isn't that a Celeron anyway ?)...
If you start with the attitude that it won't work, well it will not work. But if you try, chances are that it would work very well. So why say "Drop all that now, anyway it won't work, so don't lose your time." ?
