    I got into kite flying about 4 years ago. All you need is a (nearby) park or field ..... and a kite!
    You can do it on your own so you don't have to worry about talking to people.
    As you master your kite-fu you get to move to bigger kites in stronger winds, or even onto a mountain board or into a kite buggy.

    Kite flyers use a very similar technique for storing lines (up to 4 at a time) while packing a kite away.
    You can find descriptions by googling for 'para packing'.

    Google is OK, but /. is a community of people who tend to think the same way that I do. They are much more likely to give me the information I need to make a decision.

    Joe Public have their own hopes, and fears and needs. Their views and experiences of the surgery are of far less interest to me.

    Scunthorpe Borough Council, who installed email filtering, and promptly had all email being quarantined.

    I had to ask "If Typhoo put the T in Britain, who put the cunt in Scunthorpe?"

    If you use email filtering and Outlook at work and want to play a joke on someone then edit their sig to include a line that contains a lot of swear words. Then change the colour of this line to white on white, and the font size to a very small value.
    It takes quite a while to figure it out!

    Another one that works on NT/98 and later is to associated .lnk files with an application (ie. WordPad).
    When you next boot all of the icons on your desktop are hosed and it it very difficult to start anything.
    Only hacking with RegEdit will save the day.

    Seen it done twice by different users. One a Clipper developer who did have to use lnk files for their linker, and one a user who saw the file type in WinFile and assoiciated them to WodPad to see what they were.

    Correct. In theory at the center of the Earth there is no gravity, but you do have extremes of pressure.
    So the density of the materials you are considering will determine whether they flow inwards or outwards.

    Not my field, but I have put some thought into it several years ago.
