I experimented with using a pda and keyboard for taking notes one summer and I had great results. THese were mostly lectures with few if any diagrams. Having the keyboared allowed me to take notes with my eyes closed without sacrificing legibility ( big help) I generally found that I didn't have time to make do any editing, making bullet points, paragraphs etc so every night I went over my notes again and cleaned them up (this really helped on tests since I rarely if ever went over my handwritten notes after class) and when I needed to study for an exam I just printed out what i needed to study and took it to the library. got a 3.9 gpa that semester.
Everyone seems to be forgetting that the current generation of consoles all have moving laser assemblies that will fail eventually. They arent like a Super Nintendo that will still work if properly cared for. I'd say by the time the XBOX2 hits shelves the first gen XBOXes will be on their laser's last legs.
The PS2 came out just in time to to replace my first generation playstation which was so bad that I had to flip the whole thing upside down to play games.
Katz? holy moly I forgot he existed, when was the last time a Katz story was on slashdot? the Iraqi kid with the commodore 64 downloading movies thing? What happened to katz!?
It would be awesome to be able to use your bluetooth enabled phone as a display device for something like this. Mobileburn.com saw an under the collar bluetooth headset that I could see as a nice form factor for a computing device.

It was not even proved wrong. All the things that didn't make sense about matrix reloaded that suggested the possibility of "reality" not being what it seemed, like neo hacking the machines' 802.11b network without an antenna, the compatibility of Smith's "code" with the physical medium of Bane's body, and everything else that you can find listed on matrix sites was not addressed at all. It's all left up in the air and I don't consider the oracle's explanation for neo's ability an explanation.
... because I couldn't find a simple straight usb keyboard that didnt double as an aircraft carrier. One thing you need to be aware of before buying though is that the Scroll Lock, Print Screen and the Pause/Break key arent there and are replaced with F13 , F14 and F15 which are not equivalent
I was under the impression that this book was about just what the title says, hacking the xbox. where did all this handicapped gamer stuff come from? i never saw mention of this when seeing mention of this book previously, was this just some angle the reviewer put in to make the DMCA look extra bad and like its picking on the "differently abled?"
Paper and pen are definitely great tools for taking notes but there are many advantages to having a laptop, especially if you can touch type fast enough. I used a keyboard and my palmV to take notes as an experiment during two summer sessions and I was able to basically take dictation and still have time to insert my own comments to be sure I would understand everything later. Theres no time to format when you're doing this so it forces you to go read over the notes again to reformat and study when its fresh in your head. I almost never re-read my handwritten notes. Another BIG plus is that you can still take notes with your eyes closed. No more fading off into illegibility. Of course, unless you have a tablet pc any diagram centric classes or math classes will be difficult. I just brought some paper and a pen and when a diagram was called for I typed, "see figure x" and wrote "figure x" next to the diagram i drew.
This could really be hacked into some kind of GPS navigation system would that still be illegal? Nav systems are an option on expensive cars now are they illegal too?
PRAY. This is not directly related but I recently had to wait a week and a half to exchange my gameboy advance sp which had a huge piece of dust in the screen. Only to get one with 3 smaller pieces of dust in the screen. There's really nothing to do but shop at places with conveniant return policies and hopefully enough stock for you to exchange until you find the least defective one.
I tried with my palm V and was able to get a good ten feet but I had to aim at the TV's IR sensor like i was firing a rifle. Many of the new Sony Clie Palm Powered PDA's offer an enhanced IR just for controlling home electronics but it doesnt learn and I've seen no way to add profiles that SONY doesn't provide with the unit. They get a good range of about 15 feet or so.

seeing as how this is a school project and the other guy doing the project he linked to also made use of director its likely that they have educational licenses provided by the school or purchased as part of the materials for the course. Of course that still doesn't explain the screen and computer.

actually canon is making EF-S lenses which are adjusted for the sensor size so with an ef-s lens, 18-22mm is 18-22mm.

I think the mean time before failure on your computer hardware is a little shorter than it is for your house.
If your hard drive goes south, do you have to re-buy all of the songs you have already purchased but no longer have the files for?
