    He never said lots of fun sex was a Bad Thing. He did say that monogamy can drastically reduce your chances of contracting HIV. They are not mutually exclusive.

    Multiple genes that perform the same functions via differing mechanisms have another benefit: when something like the plague or HIV comes along individuals with a non-functional version of the gene have a better chance of survival, but were able to thrive despite the non-functional gene.. species goes on. Of course.. sometimes 2 copies is one too many (i.e. sickle cell anemia).

    The information Forbes used is fraught with errors. For example, Worcester Polytechnic Institute doesn't deserve a single red X on that list. In fact, the radio station is ONLY streaming, WPI doesn't have a broadcast license.

    They're only barred from writing for other news organizations, not for personal websites. Blogging isn't banned, according to the article.

    Rather, Olympians are prohibited from writing articles and taking photographs for publication by outside news agencies.

    This.. doesn't seem nearly so horrid. They can control which credentialed journalists get in, and make sure they've paid their dues and whatnot. The IOC is trying to prevent organizations from skipping past them and hiring on Olympians as insiders.
