Pack SMALL. You're going to be space-constrained as much as weight-constrained. Get a few compression stuff sacks for your clothes, sleeping bag, tent, etc. They'll bring your clothes down to a third or their regular volume.
Tripod: I'd vouch for the Ultrapod: a fantastic piece of equipment. Incredibly light and flexible.
Flashlight: get a headlamp, so you can see what you're eating. Get a little red keyring LED, so that you don't kill your nightvision when you get up in the night. On bike tour, I kept mine on my wrist every night when I slept.
Forget anything pricey. You won't need it. Get a cheap watch, a plastic compass (and learn how to use it), and good plastic flatware.
And don't forget the EARPLUGS. Hostels are impossible without them.
That humans evolved from lesser creatures is also impossible to *prove* *experimentally*. I could not propose an experiment that would prove that I evolved from apes. I could, however EASILY disprove it. It's called falsifiability. It would be trivial to disprove evolution. Just find a fossil record of Adam and Eve riding dinosaurs to church, and you're set.
"Intelligent Design" and other varieties of creationism are unfalsifiable, meaning they can't be proven false. There is no possible test that would prove ID and creationism false.
This is the key feature that makes them NOT scientific theories. Any theory that can't be disproven is not a theory.
The problem is not memory cards. The problem is *proprietary* memory cards. If the machines would take CF cards, or USB drives, it would make life easier for those who want to play in multiple locations.
What I don't understand is how it has become the responsibility of the US Congress to negotiate what SHOULD be a simple contract agreement between those who SELL the music and those who wish to redistribute the music.
In a perfect world, this negotiation would be conducted either unilaterally (RIAA sets price structure only for RIAA music), or pairwise (RIAA negotiates with each webcaster to bypass published rates). This would ensure that EVERYONE recognizes that the broadcasters are being screwed by a private organization, and only with regard to a small subset of bands.
I could name 10 dozen bands who would LOVE for their material to be played repeatedly on any number of webcasts, at no cost to the broadcaster. They just want to have their music heard. The RIAA has somehow become the government-selected golden child of music publication. But it completely overlooks the fact that there is NO SHORTAGE of music. What is scarce is decent editorial control, public channels, and listeners that actually give a damn about what they hear.
Sparc stations? Craigslist?
I think freecycle has filled that void.

Save 4 ounces: take a cheap butane bic lighter instead.

The reason they call it the red book is to distinguish it from the blue book, which is the OpenGL reference manual.

My wrists hurt just from looking at that keyboard.
My sister bought me the british version of the book while on vacation in England. The line in that copy was:
"You're a jerk, Dent. A complete asshole."
If you really care about making money, then you definitely want to avoid the industry contract.
Steve Albini published an excellent rundown of how the industry screws signed bands. In summary:
No, that happened in the pilot.
Reporter: Is it true that the president is a hundred feet tall?
Ross Denton: That's nonsense! Of course not!
Reporter: Is it true that he's ninety feet tall?
Denton: No comment.
Oh, that's easy!

And I thought you were so rugged!
I was hoping for Old Ones and Shoggoths.
Silent Bob is one of the characters from the movie "Clerks". He was played by Kevin Smith, the director of the film.

Still does. It just depends on how large you write!

Finally, my chance to actually BECOME Mucilage man, or the Human Ton (with Handy)!

I suppose you could just populate the place with a million zillion ninjas.

The real problem with the dialog between Anakin and Padme is that it shows what Lucas's true love in life is:
Sitting at home all day watching soap operas.
"I'm not afraid to die. I've been dying a little bit each day since you came back into my life."
Spare me. Please.
You misspelled "g**da**ed f***i*g **ckh**ds". Hope this helps!
Cut him some slack; He's probably Canadian.
