With Microsoft marketing against itself, perhaps the Mac and Linux camps can simply wait for Microsoft to self-destruct?
Why should Apple and the Open Source Software community wait for Microsoft to self destruct? Shouldn't they keep working toward bettering their own software rather than being spectators?
I'm working on a drone that will track down spy-drones and destroy them. One minor problem, though; my test anti-drone drone keeps chasing its own tail.
I think you're getting a little ahead of yourself. After all, wouldn't putting blackboxes 100 meters down inside a coal mine make them impossible to find?
I wonder how many parents object to their kids watching 20-25 hours a week of television. Is this a sign of current popular attitudes towards games, or honest parental concern over the 'dangers' of gaming?
How many PARENTS spend 20-25 hours a week watching TV and ignoring their kids? Like it or not, raising a child is a full-contact sport and REQUIRES that you spend the time to learn about your children. Who knows? You might even find out that you like them and the video games they play!
Having had congestive heart failure I can say that this device is only going to be useful in a limited number of cases. In my case, this device would not have helped as my first bout was caused by right ventricular hypertrophy due to aortic insufficiency and the second was a bout of pneumonia that cause fluid build up in the pericardium. The device may have helped the first time around to prevent the right ventricular hypertrophy, but would not have helped in the second as it would not have eliminated the cause.
Still, it's good to see that medical technology is progressing! Better than valvuplasty and dacron VSD patches!
And I thought it was the speakers that made the sounds by driving a magnet that vibrates a membrane that compressed the air in the room from electrical signals sent along the cables.
If that's the case, why isn't the company that made the camera being sued? How about the store that sold the camera to the counselor? What about the middle man who wholesaled the camera to the store chain? The guy who drove the truck to deliver the camera to the store?
The only entity that deserves to be sued is the one that took the picture and put it on Flickr with the wrong license.
As a person with a disability, I agree with you. Here a few more points about a disability being pertinent to a court case:
Lawyers fees, court costs, travel and other expenses to fight back can affect the persons ability to get treatment and/or medication for the condition.
Have to go to court can take time away from getting needed treatment (think dialysis).
Also, the RIAA seems to be targeting people that they believe can't or won't fight back; I find it appalling that they seem to be going after people with disabilities, senior citizens, children and students (for the most part).
I think you have Saturn's rings confused with Pluto.
our new flourescent kitty overlords!
Wonder if I can have this done to my cats so I don't trip over them in the dark!
That the password to the tape is "password"?

Ouch! I see your point!
Actually, the reason this wasn't mob justice is because we didn't use our torches and pitchforks.

I'll only give up voting when they pry the lever from my cold, dead hands!
Seriously, even though corporations have control of our government at the moment, voting is not a right that you can sell or give away.
Vote at the polls, vote by taking action, and vote for yourself as someone who can make our country better.

If that's the case, then we'll see a return of the 1960's where girls are burning their bras.
Of course, the boys won't mind it a bit.
You can't climb a tile wall when you're covered with soap!
It's sad to think we're going to need drives this size just to install Ubuntu in 2011.
And you thought I was going to say Windows!
Wow! Empirical proof of the observation "It takes one to know one"!
to "Spam Assassin"!
IIRC, the first captain of the Enterprise was a Christopher Pike.
Chris Pine, Chris Pike, hmmmmmmm.

Your speaker cables actually make sounds?
And I thought it was the speakers that made the sounds by driving a magnet that vibrates a membrane that compressed the air in the room from electrical signals sent along the cables.
Another $500 wasted on speakers.
Can you imagine how much time it took for it to brush and floss?
I'd rather see a reality show to see who gets to be the car!
That would give a whole new meaning to "denial of service attack".

We appreciate that you are man enough to apologize.
BTW: We're having 1,000 humble pies delivered to your house.
"game 'til you drop" was just a euphimism!
Seriously, what makes people drive themselves to die from exhaustion like this?
Looks like addiction to me.
